The big news last week was that a NieR: Automata PC port would release on Steam March 17. That's a week and a half away from Tuesday's big launch on PS4, but the hype put the petal-to-the-metal on pre-orders, as the PC version of the game shot up to the #1 seller spot on Steam Steam over last weekend.

In fact, there were no discounts propelling sales on Steam, just straight up demand and interest in the Platinum Game's latest action title. As of this writing, NieR: Automata is still sitting pretty as the #2 top seller on Steam.

For those looking to pick up a copy on the PS4 version that was recently released, or you'd rather opt for the PC port with better graphic - NieR: Automata are getting deals for both platforms.

On PC, GMG began offering an 18% discount to $49 making it the first web discount and the best price from any authorized Square Enix digital retailer. Though pre-load isn't available yet, GMG will of course have keys to you before the game goes live next Friday.

Note: The PC digital version (Steam key) is the "Day One" Edition of NieR: Automata. This comes with the pre-order bonus packs you'll expect, and offers access to several pieces of bonus content and skins (for the pod), along with extra accessories.

Discounts for the PS4 versions are a bit tricky, because you need to have a paid membership to get them. Your options are either Best Buy and Amazon.

At Best Buy you'll need a $30 Gamers Club Unlocked membership, which is nice if you pre-order or buy many new full price games a year since the membership will eventually pay for itself.

Amazon requires you to have a $100 Prime membership, which is most known for its free 2-day shipping but also grants 20% off pre-order and recently released physical disc video games up to 2-weeks after they have been launched.

NieR: Automata has been released on the PlayStation 4 on March 7, 2017. It will also be available on the PC for Steam on March 17, 2017.
