Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is now out on the PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, and on PC. To get more players in the doors, (or on the sticks), the Super Smash Bros inspired multiplayer brawler is offering a special price for a limited time to people that want to purchase digital copies of the game and check it out.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2D fighting game features 20 iconic Nickelodeon characters from the late 90s and 2000s and offers a playful, potentially brutal asking of "What if CatDog fought Invader Zim?" Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is really a new entry in a series of games. Nickelodeon Super Brawl was a set of browser games on the Nick website. Then in 2018, it was ported to mobile devices. As of writing, there are no Metacritic or Opencritic scores for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, but the Steam reviews are coming in at "very positive" and the game is in the Top 10 on Twitch with approximately 93,000 viewers.

On PlayStation, this promotion will run from October 5th to the 20th, while on Xbox the price is only listed until the 12th, one week. Steam has that same price until the 11th. Nintendo will only run the promotion for 1 day, ending on October 6th. In other stores like Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, etc., physical and digital copies of the game are $49.99.

The game has a tough road ahead of it to break away from the "Smash Bros. clone" label. With moves, stages, and controls that have already been reported to feel similar, it's a tall order for the game. It's the hope of developer Fair Play Labs and the Nickelodeon brand that they can get enough of the Smash Bros. community on its side to keep the game going and introduce DLC characters.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has promise but it will take time to see if there will be a good enough impression left after the initial hype dies down. If what remains of that first group of fans is enough to make the game sustainable, they can proceed with other classic Nickelodeon characters. There's already speculation of who would be good add-on characters to bring in later on top of the two characters that were announced to come post-launch.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is now available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
