Xbox Games Pass Ultimate is the best way for players to get a ton of free games on their Xbox consoles. As time goes on, more and more titles get added to the massive library of free games, and now hockey fans have something to be excited for. The most recent entry in Electronic Arts' NHL series, NHL 21, will be added to Xbox Games Pass Ultimate soon.

Subscribers to Xbox Games Pass Ultimate get free games just like Sony's PlayStation Plus subscribers, and they are only available to play as long as players are subscribed. Even so, to see a newer game like NHL 21 be made free is great news, especially for fans of sports games and hockey in particular.

EA recently revealed that the game will join the Xbox Games Pass Ultimate library sometime in April, although the exact date has yet to be determined. Alongside this, fans are already able to play NHL 20 and are expecting to see Madden NFL 21 on the Xbox Games Pass Ultimate starting March 3rd. With all of these games coming soon, there's no shortage of things to do.

Although not quite related to sports, players will also be getting Star Wars Squadrons at some point in March, and the good news keeps coming. For those that want to stay informed about what new titles are joining Xbox Games Pass Ultimate, follow the official Xbox and EA Twitter accounts to get the news as soon as it is available. More news will likely come soon.

NHL 21 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.
