It seems as though Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has revealed what an upcoming new Xbox console will look like. For quite some time, Phil Spencer has used his shelf to tease upcoming games and announcements. These Easter eggs have left fans scanning Spencer's shelf whenever a new photo or video of it pops up, and it seems one of the latest items on the Head of Xbox's shelf is actually an upcoming Xbox console, or a prototype of it, at least.

Bethesda is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Fallout franchise, and since Microsoft owns Bethesda, Phil Spencer got in on the festivities. Spencer took to Twitter to celebrate Fallout's anniversary, posting an image of his shelf that shows various products, including a couple of Vault Boy figures. However, what's really getting everyone's attention is a white box on the top of his shelf, which is apparently a new Xbox console that's in the works.

According to Tom Warren of The Verge, the small white console spotted on Phil Spencer's shelf in a recent tweet is in fact an in-development Xbox console known as Keystone. This isn't the first time that information about the Xbox Keystone console has come to light. It's been said that Microsoft is working on a streaming device that would allow gamers to access Xbox Game Pass titles without needing a console, mobile device, or PC, and now fans can get their first look at it thanks to Spencer's shelf.

As made clear by the image, the Xbox Keystone console is going to be rather small. It kind of looks like a miniature Xbox Series S. However, it should be stressed that this may not be what the final design of the console looks like. The official Xbox Twitter account referred to it as an "old prototype," so it seems as though the final product will look a bit different from the device spotted on Spencer's shelf.

That being said, it wouldn't be surprising if the final design for the Xbox Keystone console ends up looking a lot like this. Ultimately, fans will have to wait for the official reveal to learn more details about the console, including its final design, what its actual name will be, and most importantly, how much it will cost. Presumably, the Xbox Keystone is meant to be a low-cost alternative to the Xbox Series X and S consoles, though fans will have to wait for more information.
