When it comes to tracking quests in locations that players have not discovered yet, MMORPGs can be a bit obscure in directing gamers to their goal. That's not to say that unguided exploration should be deterred, but when the in-game map is as massive as that of New World, a title should at least give players a broad sense of where to find certain places and people.
There is a quest in New World called "One Threat at a Time", where players are tasked with taking out a couple of pirate leaders at Nyhart's Anchorage, but both the location itself and one of the targets can be difficult to seek out due to the lack of information given by the game. Thankfully, some of the more thorough explorers have uncovered Boatswain Ambrose's hideout and have shared how to search for and destroy this dreaded pirate.
Updated on October 18, 2021, by Reyadh Rahaman: The reason for seeking out this foe during One Threat at a Time, like with many other quests, is for the loot! Quest rewards are a great way to get currency, gear, and XP, so be sure to do a lot of them in New World.
It is worth noting that certain quest givers can grant players multiple quests--many of which will be related in terms of lore and rewards, so be sure to return to speak with such NPCs whenever the player is around them and in need of some adventuring. The NPC which gives One Threat at a Time, Sylvia Oakes, is such a character, which the player can speak to acquire more quests.
Where To Find Nyhart's Anchorage
Firstly, it should be mentioned that Nyhart's Anchorage is a landmark as opposed to a proper settlement, which will partially explain why it is so tricky to find for some players.
To find this landmark, players are advised to start from Windsward Hamlet and then head south and a bit west toward Las Torres Bay. Gamers taking this route will have to pass through the Eldergate region, which will place them between Milberry Hills on the west and Hoff point on the east.
Protruding into Las Torres Bay is a triangular peninsula that can act as a great marker to identify the precise location of Nyhart's Anchorage. The landmark housing a huge ship and some docks can be found just west of this triangular peninsula.
Where To Find Boatswain Ambrose In Nyhart's Anchorage
There are many nooks and crannies in Nyhart's Anchorage, so it can be frustrating to track down the infamous pirate that one is hunting. Players seeking Boatswain Ambrose should head down below the docks to find the entrance to his hideout. This entrance is within a stone bridge built with an arch located near to where a large crocodilian enemy spawns.
As players enter the tunnel-like hideout, they will find hostile enemies, such as Anchorshot Pistolers and possibly others. These foes are guarding the way to their boss and are a sign that the player is on the right track. Keep heading deeper into the tunnel and it won't take long until one finds Boatswain Ambrose's location as he lounges on some crates.
Now that the hunter has found their prey, all that is left to do is take him out. Be wary, though, as Ambrose wields a literal anchor for a weapon and will heave it with great strength as if it was a greathammer or particularly massive mace. It is recommended to bring a friend to slay this fiend as well as possibly utilize ranged attacks, as Boatswain Ambrose does not seem to possess any ranged attacks of his own.

Some Other Quests Silvia Oakes Gives
NPCs in MMORPGs can give the game some unique flair and individuality that separates them from others in the same genre. The writing of their dialogue, their character design (including physical traits and clothing), and much more are important aspects of non-player characters that should be given attention. Thankfully, despite the giving of some fetch quests, New World's NPCs are put together pretty well and serve their role adequately.
Slow And Steady
This quest will be more about gathering resources than tracking down and defeating a noteworthy enemy, however, everyone needs to start somewhere and this is a great task for players looking to grab some easy and quick rewards while also helping out the First Light Settlement. This is also a nice quest for raising the level of one's gathering and refining skills.

Finely Crafted
In a similar vein to the previous quest mentioned, Finely Crafted will revolve around the player doing a lot of refining, which, again, will be great for the level of a few refining skills. In this quest, players will have to meet up with Artificer Kim in the First Light Settlement after picking this task up from Sylvia Oakes.
