Thanks to Amazon Game Studios' approach in making New World a very welcoming experience where everyone can do what they want to progress, players have been having fun in lots of different ways. In fact, New World allows players to explore many build options because there are no preset classes and weapon combinations, and then gems can also helo make hybrid builds more reliable. Players can also try and experiment with fights, changing styles to be more effective, especially because positioning and AoE are very important elements of New World's gameplay.

Some players like crafting and gathering skills so much that they become their sole focus, to the point that reaching level 60 without ever killing anything is totally possible - especially considering the tutorial can be skipped. Other players enjoy Faction Wars and Outpost Rush more than the rest of the game, and that's another great way to level up because PvP provides more experience than PvE, in general. There are also players who never join one of New World's three factions throughout the entire experience, reaching level 60 without getting some quests done.

Yesterday, a Redditor by the name of Zuljyn shared a video of them jumping off a cliff and activating a Hatchet skill called Sprint Attack, which allows players to leap forward and perform two attacks. The New World player soon lands down below, killing a common turkey with the Hatchet for just 1 experience point, which is oddly enough to make the player level up and reach level 60 in a very dramatic way. Among the various posts about hitting level 60 in strange ways, this specific post was one that pleased the New World community quite a lot in how fun it was to see.

Killing turkeys in New World can also unlock one of the many achievements in the game, called "Gobble Gobble," which unlocks after a total of 100 turkey kills and awards the Turkey Terminator title. As such, a few players had hoped to see it show up in Zuljyn's notifications alongside the achievement for hitting level 60, but that wasn't the case.

New World is also renowned for its many community memes, at this point, and they include the Sausage chat meme that is all the rage these days. Zuljyn's video is most likely not the last to come to Reddit about players reaching level 60 in odd ways, but it was an admirable attempt that must have taken a bit of time to master properly.

New World is out now for PC.
