Much of Aeternum still remains uncharted, but the setting of New World has yet to be fully explored. Maps on most servers still remain partially uncharted and unclaimed, with different Companies and Factions vying for control of this mysterious island continent. As players slay, skin, mine, and harvest their way across this expansive New World, they're discovering unique and beautiful locations. The setting has a distinct Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland vibe about it, and strange mysteries are waiting around every shiny rock or glowing plant.

There's not a lot of expertise needed to discover these hidden locations. Most players come across them while pursuing quests or chasing resources, while other bold adventurers just find a question mark on the map and run to it out of pure curiosity. The handy interface in New World includes a map that remembers the places a player discovers and shows them places they have not visited yet, which can help others to discover and enjoy these obscure locations.

10 Pyrgos Nao, First LIght

new world players tower explode charts amazon games

This is one of the many ancient towers that dot the landscape of New World. Some of them are obvious, close to roads and settlements where players can easily find them.

Pyrgos Nao, however, is a bit out of the way so most players never find it. There's a Syndicate Quest here to raid chests, so the paranoid purples might find it before others, but at least that gives players some motivation to find this obscure location.

9 Dust Meadow, Everfall

New World Blacksmith Betrayal Quest

A quiet place hidden away in Everfall, with little more than lumber and ore to lure visitors, there's aren't many players that come here just for fun. I

t's a pleasant meadow squeezed between two impressive monoliths, a big farm and a fishery that includes a hotspot, and with all of those resources to choose from most players run right past Dustmeadow. Rabbits, wood, and ore can be found in abundance here, mostly because other players don't bother with it.

8 Rabbit Island, The Restless Shore

New World Hidden Secrets Easter Eggs Rabbit Island

There are a few interesting hidden places that players will find alongside the many small islands that make up the eastern coastline. One of them is a nameless island that players in the know have nicknamed Rabbit Island.

There is a secret quest here, and there's a certain thing that has to happen in order for players to find it. If someone has already demonstrated the creative thinking and eye for detail that led them to the island in the first place, they can probably figure that out.

7 Buccaneer Falls, Windsward

Buccaneer Falls screenshot

Plenty of players might stumble across this former mine and fishery teetering on the edge of southern Windsward, close to First Light. The mysterious wrecked ships are visible on the map from the road or the nearby Fallswatch Overlook.

Players who veer west off the road that leads north stumble across this location, which is ideal for farming chests, ore, and certain herbs and plants, so it's worth a visit just for the resources. What's really interesting about this location, however, is the tall ships that were somehow wrecked at the top of the waterfall.

6 Salty Snail Fishery, Cutless Keys

New World Hidden Secrets Easter Eggs Viking Ship Ancient Civilizations

Haunted Isle takes up the southwestern corner of Cutlass Keys, and there are a few things about this spit of land that made it unique. Players that find the NPC Wistful Billiam Rowan on the western shore can do a few quests as they explore the archipelago, and in that case, they might find the Salty Scale Fishery.

The fishery is hidden on the eastern corner of the island, opposite of the quest giver, and it includes a nicely isolated three-star fishing hotspot along with some lore and chests to loot.

5 Wayward Mounds, Great Cleave

Life Staff Sword and Shield New World

Great Cleave is a zone far to the north and is intended for players level 41 to 60, and on many servers, it has yet to be claimed by a Faction. Wayward Mounds is an out-of-the-way spot near the southern border of the region but it's only accessible from a single road that leads in from the north.

Most players get as far as Glass Lake, which has a quest for a cool fishing hat and a three-star fishing hotspot, but don't continue further south and miss Wayward Mounds The two graveyards there have a lot to offer when it comes to loot and levels, including a boss named Abraxas the Vicious.

4 The Solitude Cemetary, Restless Shore

new world truth and consequences

There's so much to do in this region when it comes to shipwrecks and lost treasure that it's easy to miss a conventional cemetery. Most players who come to Fort Restless Shore are hunting for resources or PVP, and miss the cemetery tucked in the northern corner of Solitude.

The island is called Solitude for a reason, not being the most hospitable place, so it isn't a surprise that most players don't find it. It's worth a visit for leveling weapons and collecting resources from chests, plus there's a boss to challenge here known as Erika the Shadowslayer.

3 Tideswallow, First Light

new world top 20 issues

This is one of the lowest level areas in the game, and that's exactly why most players run right past it. First Light is one of the three starting areas where level one characters have a chance to wash up and fight their way off the beach, but players that take some time to explore the area will find this sandy little cave if they go north along the beach instead of west to the settlement.

At this level, any opportunity to find some decent weapons and gear, never mind leveling up some weapon skills, is a great opportunity and makes this hidden location worth the visit.

2 Bleachwood Coast, Reekwater

new world heart of the marsh

Reekwater is just as nice as it sounds, and every character needs a breath of fresh air after being in either a swamp or a cemetery, so a coastal getaway is a nice idea. The reason that few players have discovered this area is that there isn't much to do here. There are just a few scant chests and a few Lost, but not even a boss and few resources other than fish.

It also might have something to do with the level required. Reekwater is intended for characters level 58 to 60, so there aren't even that many players that are even able to reach the location yet.

1 Draco, Everfall

new world invincible glitch

Here's another monument that most players miss because the nearby resources are just too distracting. Plenty of players travel west into Everfall to explore the Starstone Barrows Expedition but don't venture any further.

That means they might never lay eyes on Draco, and other than just putting it on the map and taking a scenic screenshot, there's little here to find other than the usual minor loot chests and a few random animals.
