Some enemies and bosses are hard to track down in the open landscape of New World, including Captain Patricia, who must be sought out and slain in a relatively remote region. Players won't have too much of a hard time defeating this level 42 foe or their lackeys if one is of equal or higher level.
Captain Patricia is a prime target during the "Shadows Cast By A Final Salute" quest given by James Sexton in Great Cleave. It is recommended to be at least level 39 in New World before setting out to cut down the captain, though, as mentioned before, Patricia and her henchmen will be a bit higher in level than this.
Where To Find Captain Patricia
Players will have to travel to the location known as "Cleave's Malice", which is in the southern part of the Frozen Claims region in order to find Captain Patricia.
Step 1 - Find The Best Starting Spot
The best spot to start looking for the captain at this bandit settlement is between the two largest yellow buildings that appear on the map. This will place gamers just left of the icon that will display information about Cleave's Malice when hovered over with the mouse.
Step 2 - Head Up The Stairs
From the spot indicated above, players can find Captain Patricia patrolling an upper area behind a wooden wall, however, here's a breakdown to find her preferred patrol spot:
- Head up the stairs of the building to the east
- Ascend past the many Frontwatch enemies
- When reaching the short flight of stairs that leads to a wooden wall, go left
- Keep going until one can walk around the wall to the other side
- This stretch of walkway is where players can find Captain Patricia patrolling
How To Defeat Captain Patricia
Captain Patricia has 6,440 HP, which is more than most regular enemies around level 42, however, it won't take long for competent players to take them down, especially if gamers target her weaknesses.
The trigger-happy Captain Patricia is very weak to Arcane damage (takes 30% more damage), so this is the best element to defeat her quickly, however, there are other methods to consider as well, therefore players should analyze this boss a bit if one is underleveled and needs a more tactical advantage.
