Gamers play MMORPGs for the customization options, and that often means big, shiny, impressive weapons. The two-handed variety is often carried by characters that have high Strength ability scores and are looking to do the most possible melee damage. These are often the most dangerous characters at close range, and they take pride in their overwhelming arms.

New World streamlines its gameplay in certain ways, making weapon mastery a more simplistic process than other MMORPGs. The game has three different types two-handed weapons to choose from: the spear, the great ax, and the war hammer. That might not seem like a lot, but there's a huge variety of them included in New World. The impressive armory includes weapons that drop from slain enemies, are rewarded for completing quests, purchased from Faction representatives, or crafted with the required skill level and materials.
