Although Super Mario's 35th anniversary already took place last year, the celebrations continue well into 2021. Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. 35 are available until March 31, the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. is still available at various retailers, and most importantly, the release of the highly anticipated Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is nearly a month away now.

Although it was certainly no surprise to see Super Mario 3D World join a slew of other popular Wii U games by coming to the Nintendo Switch, the biggest surprise came at the end of the game's reveal trailer, briefly alluding to the mysterious Bowser's Fury addition. While fans have already noticed several changes to the base game such as faster gameplay speed and added online multiplayer functionality, virtually no information has been revealed about Bowser's Fury, but it seems that fans will finally learn more tomorrow.

Today, the official Nintendo of America Twitter account announced that a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury will be released tomorrow. Although not much was revealed about what the trailer will consist of, it is safe to assume that Bowser's Fury will finally be revealed, as Nintendo mentioned that "Bowser's Fury will be unleashed" in this brand new trailer.

This announcement follows a recent update to the Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury website, stating that more information would come soon. The new trailer will premiere tomorrow, January 12, at 6 am PT. Nintendo also specifically noted that the trailer will be rather short, lasting for 2 minutes. Many fans are both excited for new information but also puzzled, as some have noted that it is interesting to see Nintendo announce a trailer ahead of time instead of just releasing it outright, as they have recently done for Paper Mario: The Origami King and the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct. Either way, those looking forward to learning more about Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury are surely in for a treat tomorrow.

While this news is exciting, it does carry the implication that Nintendo may not actually be planning a Nintendo Direct for this month which has been rumored as of late. While this seems like a trailer Nintendo could easily include in a longer Nintendo Direct presentation, it is possible that it wants to draw as much attention to the game as possible by releasing this new trailer on its own.

Many have speculated as to what exactly Bowser's Fury could be, whether a new game mode, additional worlds for the game, or even adding the ability to play as King Koopa himself. Hopefully, those questions and more are answered in tomorrow's trailer.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury launches February 12, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
