PUBG publisher Krafton has announced a new update for the company's most recent battle royale game, New State Mobile, released just in time for Halloween celebrations. The update includes a crossover created in collaboration with Behaviour Interactive's horror game Dead by Daylight. The PUBG spinoff's crossover is accompanied by regular gameplay updates.

New State Mobile is PUBG Studios' second game in the PUBG universe. The mobile-only game is set thirty years after PUBG: Battlegrounds, and offers a more futuristic take on the battle royale genre. The game was released in the second half of 2021 and pits 100 players against each other on an island called Troi. While much of the gameplay and content is similar to PUBG: Mobile, there are new additions. New State Mobile includes new weapons customizations and better destructible environments.

The most recent New State Mobile crossover is with Dead by Daylight and brings new ghastly items, including helmets, backpacks, frying pans, and parachutes, to the game. Players can also acquire costumes that represent Killers from Dead by Daylight. To obtain rewards, players must complete event-related achievements in Fright for Survival games. There's also a custom profile effect reward inspired by Dead by Daylight if the player manages to complete all the event missions. Players have until November 24 to compete in New State Mobile and achieve the special Halloween-themed rewards and cosmetics.

Not only does Halloween and Dead by Daylight collaboration make the October patch a big deal for New State Mobile, but the game is also celebrating its first anniversary soon. To commemorate the first year, New State Mobile will run a special in-game event in November. There are going to be a total of 15 missions that award players with special anniversary costumes as well as weapons and parachute skins. In addition, just logging in during the event will reward players with a "Kinda Cute Dance" emote for free.

PUBG Studios will also be adding a new "recruit mode" game type to New State Mobile, and updating the Survivor Pass to include Edward from the Hunters Faction. Edward's custom cosmetics are accessible for free for those who complete all story missions. Those who have bought the Premium Pass will be refunded all New State Credits once they reach a certain pass level. The October patch also comes with lots of gameplay changes and fixes. M24's properties have been adjusted, a new Auto Fire feature has been added for beginners to get into the game easier, and balance changes have been made to several New State Mobile's weapons and maps.

New State Mobile is available on Android and iOS.
