It's long been known that a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was coming at some point, but now EA has announced that two other new Star Wars games are in the works as well. Electronic Arts announced it's teaming with Respawn - the developer behind the first Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - and Lucasfilm Games to bring three new Star Wars titles to the gaming world.

It's starting to look like a rather large part of the video game industry's future is going to include a bevy of Star Wars games. Star Wars: Eclipse, a game Lucasfilm Games is working with Quantic Dreams on, was announced at The Game Awards. Then there's the KOTOR remake, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the competitive battle arena game Star Wars: Hunters, Ubisoft's open-world Star Wars game, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 all already on the horizon.

Now there are at least two more games, both from EA and Respawn, being added to the list of Star Wars games that were already known about. On Tuesday morning, Electronic Arts announced that Respawn was leading the charge on all three games and that they will all be quite a bit different when they finally arrive on the market.

In confirming that Game Director Stig Asmussen and his team are already working on the next Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, EA announced there are going to be two new teams working on the two other titles.

Peter Hirschmann is going to be helming the second new game that is coming out of EA and Respawn and that particular title will be a first-person shooter. The third game is going to be a strategy game that will be aided in development by Respawn but newly formed studio Bit Reactor will be taking the lead on that particular title.

Additional details on any of the three new Star Wars games were not provided, meaning that fans are going to be left guessing at just what they might get to see when work is done on any of these titles. When it comes to the next Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order there's at least a kind of roadmap as to where the next installment in what is now a series might go. As for the other two, there have been rumors and there have been requests from the fan base for the basis for either game, but for now, their plots are still a mystery.

Several Star Wars games are in development.
