Between events like the Guerrilla Collective showcase, IGN's Summer of Gaming, and GamesRadar's Future Games Show, there have been plenty of announcements to keep gamers looking to the future after live conventions were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. One stand-out title revealed at yesterday's Future Games Show was Serial Cleaners, a sequel to Draw Distance's 2017 2D action-stealth game Serial Cleaner.

Where the original game featured players taking control of a mob's professional cleaner that had to remove crime scene evidence under the nose of law enforcement in the 1970s, its sequel will homage 90s cinema from directors like Quentin Tarantino with the same concept. The first title plays like a top-down stealth game in a style similar to the Hotline Miami Collection.

Most of the "new" parts from the trailer showcase Serial Cleaners' crisp paper-like aesthetic as one of its four main characters casually drives through the streets, occasionally cutting to dichotomous images of cleaning crimes set in his silhouette. It gets the point of the game across without much gameplay, and at the end confirms it will be available in 2021 on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Steam wishlist option available now.

For those who feel they may be interested in this upcoming game, the original Serial Cleaner is available to try on all current-gen platforms for $14.99. There are also some similar titles on the market that might be worth a look, such as Samurai Punk's Roomboo: First Blood.

Serial Cleaners will be available in 2021 on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
