Secret Side Path is the first of three new courses added in New Pokemon Snap's 2.0 update. The daytime variant features 13 Pokemon, two of which are brand new additions to the game's roster. Like all of the other Pokemon in the game, they each have a photo request associated with them, and fulfilling them will help players to get four star shots of the pair for their Photodex.

Before players can even think about tackling these two new challenges, however, they'll first need to unlock the course. This can be achieved by scanning the tree in the open area by the lake in the Park (Day) course, which will lead to the NEO-ONE shrinking down to only a fraction of its original size. From there, players will simply need to complete a run through the titular side path, being sure to take at least one photograph of Snorlax and Shroomish as they do.

Dancing Trio Request Guide

The Dancing Trio request in New Pokemon Snap's Secret Side Path (Day) course

The Dancing Trio request is handed out by Rita after players have photographed Shroomish for the very first time. This can be done at research level 1, meaning that players can theoretically get started on the request from their second run onwards. From there, actually completing it is remarkably simple, with very little effort actually required on the player's part.

In order to fulfill the request, players should start the course as they usually would, taking either the default route or the one that leads past the sleeping Snorlax. Both will work just fine, although the former gives players a little more time to get the shot that they need, so is probably the better option for those having trouble. In the area immediately after the Snorlax, players will see three Shroomish standing around near a Crystabloom. Illuminating the flower and then using the Melody Player will make the trio start dancing; allowing players to snap a four star photo for Rita.

Snorlax Dash Request Guide

The Snorlax Dash request in New Pokemon Snap's Secret Side Path (Day) course

Once players have photographed Snorlax for the first time, Professor Mirror will ask them to take a picture of the sleeping giant running at full speed. Given the Pokemon's sloth-like behavior, this may seem like a bit of a bad joke on the professor's part, but it's actually fairly simple once players know how. The timing can be a little tricky, but there are ways to get around this for those who are having difficulties.

To complete the request, players will first need to perform a scan near the start of the course to switch to the route that leads past Snorlax. They'll then need to throw four Fluffruit directly into its open mouth and so should start hurling them as soon as they're in range. It can really help to keep the camera zoomed in while doing so, as this will slow the NEO-ONE down a little and buy the player a bit more time. If done correctly, Snorlax will then show up in the flowery meadow at the end of the course, and hitting it with an Illumina Orb will cause it to charge towards the NEO-ONE. To complete the Snorlax Dash request, players simply need to snap a photo of it running and then turn it in at the end of the run.
