Founja Jungle (Day) is the third course that players will visit in New Pokemon Snap and is home to 18 different types of Pokemon. There are also ten photo requests for players to complete there on behalf of Professor Mirror and the rest of the research team, although they won't all be available straight away.

To unlock them all, players will need to complete the main story of New Pokemon Snap, raise the course's research level to level 3 and also get a photograph of Mew in the nighttime version of the course. Some of the requests can be fulfilled much earlier though and there's actually one that can only be done at lower research levels.

Cutting Moment Request Guide

The Cutting Moment request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

Before players can complete the Cutting Moment request, they will first need to head over the the Jungle (Night) course and unlock the route through the swamp. To do this, they'll just need to illuminate the first Crystabloom they come to and then scan the footprints to reveal a path through the reeds. After this, they'll be able to scan the area during the daytime to take the alternate route.

Almost immediately after entering the swamp area during the daytime, players will see a pair of Aipom run through. Usually, they disappear through some tall grass on the left, but if players hit the one that stops momentarily with an Illumina Orb, it will cut the grass down instead. To complete the request, players will need to capture the moment that cut is used and then turn in the photo to Professor Mirror at the end of the run.

Dangling Metapod Request Guide

The Dangling Metapod request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

The titular Metapod in the Dangling Metapod request can be found stuck to a branch as players pass over the ancient ruins area. They won't be able to see it to begin with, although can make it drop down by aiming an Illumina Orb to the left of the nearby Liepard's tail. Alternatively, they can just wait until the NEO-ONE gets to the other side of the branch and then turn around.

Whichever option players choose, the Metapod will begin to dangle down from a silk thread after it has been hit with an Illumina Orb. Players will just need to be sure to snap a photo of it at its very lowest point, as any photographs taken while it is still moving or has started pulling itself back up will not be counted towards the request.

What's Your Favorite Pollen? Request Guide

The What's Your Favorite Pollen? request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

All players need to complete the What's Your Favorite Pollen? request is a Venusaur, a Beautifly and an Illumina Orb. Well, that and decent timing. The photo can be taken in a few different places, although the best is probably in the area to the right of the swamp as the Venusaur there is sleeping and so will always be in the same position.

After arriving in the area, players will need to wait until one of the Beautifly get close to Venusaur and then hit the latter with an Illumina Orb to make it glow. If timed correctly, the Beautifly will begin to feast on Venusaur's pollen and players can snap a photo of the winged insect in action to fulfill Professor Mirror's request.

Hard at Work in the Jungle Request Guide

The Hard at Work in the Jungle request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

Just before players reach the ancient ruins section of the course, they'll pass a tree with a deep hollow in its trunk on the left hand side. As they do so, they'll need to throw a Fluffruit directly into the hole so that it stays in there and then wait for a Pikipek to fly in and grab the fruit.

It can sometimes take a while, but, providing the Fluffruit doesn't fall out, the Pikipek should always come, so players should keep their eyes on the hole rather than giving up. Once it finally arrives, it will carry the Fluffruit away and it's this moment that players will need to capture to complete the Hard at Work in the Jungle request.

Staredown for Venusaur Request Guide

The Staredown For Venusaur

The Staredown for Venusaur request requires players to force a confrontation between Venusaur and Arbok, which is a lot easier said than done. They'll first need to hit the Arbok near the start of the course with a Fluffruit to get it away from the scared Wooper and then throw more Fluffruit over towards the sleeping Venusaur behind it to lure it into the right spot. Next, they'll need to use Illumina Orbs, Fluffruit and scan to wake Venusaur and then get a shot of it running away with Arbok somewhere in the frame to complete the request.

If done correctly, the same Venusaur will show up asleep on a rock at the end of the course and lighting the nearby Crystabloom and then using the Melody Player will cause it to wake up and jump into the water for a four star photo. Players will need to do this on a separate run after they have completed the request, however, due to Professor Mirror's one photo per Pokemon limit.

Jungle Buddies Request Guide

The Jungle Buddies request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

To fulfill the Jungle Buddies request, players will need to use the Melody Player as they are passing the big mound of dirt near the sleeping Slaking. If timed correctly, a Bounsweet will fly out and start following the player through the jungle. A little further on, they'll also need to throw a Fluffruit at the Arbok hissing at the bushes to make it slither away.

Once Arbok is gone, a Wooper will emerge from the bushes and climb onto a rock allowing the player to get some decent close-ups of it. If the Bounsweet is still following, it should now begin playing with the Wooper and the pair will eventually leave the area together. Players will need to focus their camera on Wooper while also making sure that Bounsweet is in the shot if they want to complete the request.

Making a Splash Request Guide

The Making a Splash request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

The Making a Splash request is one of the first that players will be able to complete in the Jungle (Day) course. In fact, it's only possible to get the required picture at research level 1 as Quagsire will no longer appear on the rocks beneath the waterfall once players have reached level 2. With this in mind, players may need to revert their research level by pressing the X button on the course select screen.

Interestingly, players don't actually need to do anything to get Quagsire to jump in the water, so it's typically a case of watching and waiting until the moment is right to snap a picture. They'll need to photograph either the Quagsire in the air or the moment that it enters the water. As most won't have unlocked turbo when they reach this point though, it will probably be the former for the majority of players.

In the Tall Grass Request Guide

The In the Tall Grass request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

To complete the In the Tall Grass request, players will need to make their way down to the waterfall area and look for a patch of grass over on the right hand side. If they're having trouble locating it, the scanner should help but its just before the Crystabloom that's glowing in the nighttime version of the course. Next, they'll need to get ready to throw some Fluffruit.

The intended strategy seems to be to throw the Fluffruit near the bush and wait for Sobble to emerge, but this can sometimes take a few moments. Depending on the position of the NEO-ONE, it can therefore be both faster and easier to just throw the Fluffruit directly into the bush and hit Sobble, which will make it run straight out. The picture won't be as good, but the request will be fulfilled all the same.

Operation Be My Friend! Request Guide

The Operation Be My Friend request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

In order to complete the Operation Be My Friend! request, players will need to take the route behind the waterfall. To do this, they'll need to throw an Illumina Orb at the Liepard standing on the rock as the NEO-ONE heads out over the branches before it falls asleep. If done quickly enough, the Liepard should move and players will be able to scan the area to change routes.

Behind the waterfall, players will only be able to see a Sobble at first, but it will soon by joined by a Leafeon. Once the latter has arrived, players can throw it a Fluffruit and then snap a picture of it eating to fulfill the request. It can be useful to throw a couple of them just in case Sobble eats the Fluffruit instead of Leafeon, although as long as it falls closer to Leafeon, this shouldn't be an issue.

Myth of the Jungle Request Guide

The Myth of the Jungle request in The Founja Jungle (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap

Once players have photographed Mew in the Jungle (Night) course it will start to show up in the daytime as well. It appears directly in front of players when they enter the course and quickly hitting it with an Illumina Orb will make it teleport away. It will then show up to the right of the swamp area and again over by the ancient ruins and players should hit it with Illumina Orbs on both occasions.

If all goes to plan, it will show up one last time either near the Venusaur at the back of the course or on the route behind the waterfall. Here, hitting it with another Illumina Orb will calm it down to the point where players can feed it a Fluffruit for the Myth of the Jungle request. They'll just need to be careful not to hit the Pokemon by mistake, as this will make Mew teleport away for good.
