New Pokemon Snap has revitalized an N64 classic that many fans have been waiting on for decades. The entry moves away from the classic turn-based RPG gameplay Pokemon fans are used to with the main series and puts a camera in the player's hands instead.

The rail-based photography game allows players to go through levels that have a plethora of different Pokemon hanging out in them. Players will need to get solid photos in order to level up each region and proceed through the game. Thing is, Professor Mirror is very picky, so players will need to figure out the best ways to get good photos.

10 Center The Pokemon

Those who have taken a photography class have learned about the rule of thirds, meaning that subjects should not be directly in the middle of the photograph but should be just slightly off-center. Well, according to Professor Mirror, this simply does not constitute a good photograph.

When focusing in on a single Pokemon, the most important element is to get the Pokemon in the center of the photo. Bonus points will be included for those that take photos of a Pokemon's full body as well.

9 Take Photos With Multiple Pokemon

The most endearing element of the game is watching different Pokemon interact with each other in mostly cute but sometimes even vicious ways. Regardless of what kind of interaction is occurring, it's important to make note of it and snap a photo.

Professor Mirror will reward players that take photos of multiple Pokemon in a single shot. It's important to note, however, that every photo taken is assigned to only one Pokemon, so it's worth keeping track of which Pokemon is the focus as the group shot is taken.

8 Look For The Best Reactions

Taking a solid photo of a Pokemon can be rather easy, especially if they are just standing around doing nothing. However, taking those kinds of photos will only be good enough for a one-star ranking from Professor Mirror. It's important to watch Pokemon and see how they interact with the environment with each loop.

This could be key to seeing them do something that can bump an average photo from one to three stars, for instance. This could be as easy as a simple change in facial expression to interacting with an environmental object.

7 Always Check Behind The Vehicle

It's easy to focus on everything that is happening in front of the vehicle. Most of the activity that is happening is going on where the players can clearly see. That said, there is a reason why New Pokemon Snap allows the player to look at all sides of their domed craft.

There are some areas in the game that will have Pokemon showing up behind the player and nowhere else, so it's important to keep the camera on a swivel because missing photo opportunities may prevent the player from progressing forward.

6 Feed The Subject

There are a variety of tools that players are given to help create a solid photo with the first being Fluffruit. Similar to the original game's apples, players can throw the Fluffruit at a Pokemon to get their attention. For some Pokemon, they will see a Fluffruit and begin to consume it. This is a perfect opportunity for taking a photo.

Sometimes, Pokemon will just react to seeing the Fluffruit or being hit by one as well. Using them as a weapon for photogenic situations is crucial to getting points.

5 Play A Tune

Another tool given to the player at some point in their journey is the ability to play a tune while driving around. While there are a lot of Pokemon who will ignore the song being played, others will begin to dance around to the cute little jingle. These creatures will start showing off their dance moves, making it imperative to snap the photo while they are bopping around.

If the player misses the Pokemon initially dancing, the tune is easily replayable. However, the timing of the tune is important for getting a perfectly framed photo.

4 Illuminate The Subject

This version of Pokemon Snap offers a completely new tool to the mix called the Illumina Orb. Using this, players are able to throw Illumina Orbs at the Pokemon to make them glow. Like the other tools, lighting up every Pokemon doesn't mean it will bring better results.

That said, some Pokemon behave strangely when experiencing the glowing sensation. This especially works in nighttime scenarios where the glow is clearly seen. Snapping a good photo of an illuminated Pokemon will earn the player lots of points.

3 Illuminate The Crystablooms

Continuing with the Illumina Orb tool, players can also use the throwable at flowers found on every track called the Crystablooms. These unique-looking flowers have a crystal in the center of them that will glow brightly when properly illuminated.

Throwing an Illumina Orb at these plants can draw Pokemon to it, leading to perfect photo opportunities as Pokemon begin interacting with it. These joyful occasions are likely to bring the player the four stars they crave from the professor. At the very least, it will give the player a big score.

2 Scan For Different Paths

One of the first things Professor Mirror provides to the player is a scanner. This tool allows players to scan for mysterious elements of an area, from ancient debris to a hidden Pokemon that just needs to be lured out. But one of the more interesting parts of going through an area multiple times is discovering how to unlock new paths.

Once the player scans to change the direction of the vehicle, it could provide new Pokemon to take photos of and betters angles of Pokemon that the player already knew were there. It's the ability to see things from a different perspective.

1 Use The LenTalk System For Opportunities

While it isn't necessary to complete the game, the requests received by the player in the LenTalk system can be vital to finding photo opportunities they didn't know existed. Some of the requests will ask for the player to find a Pokemon they haven't even seen on a run yet. Other requests will push players to unite two pokemon and have them interact in a specific way.

Most of these requests are pointing out three-star and four-star photo chances that could help the player level up specific areas of the game.
