Taking on requests in New Pokemon Snap can reveal some fun and exciting moments with various underwater Pokemon. But there are a couple of requests that involve some extra work, as many of the regions have secret routes hidden along their courses. In the Undersea stage of the Lental Seafloor, players will need to unlock one of these alternate routes to take a 4-star photo in order to complete the "Golisopod Training" request.

Similar to a few other requests, this mission will involve inciting an interaction between two Pokemon in order to snap a picture. The two types of Pokemon that players will need to watch for are Clawitzer and Golisopod. While Golisopods are the objectives of the request, Clawitzers are required for opening the necessary alternate route as well as initiating the interaction between the two Golisopods.

To complete the "Golisopod Training" request, players must first unlock the alternate route which leads to the ancient underwater ruins. This route is also necessary for completing a number of other requests for the Lental Seafloor. To unlock it, players must reach Research Level 2 and have unlocked Illumina Orbs. At the start of the course, players will notice a Clawitzer on the left side of the NEO-ONE's path. Before reaching Research Level 2, the Clawitzer will swim ahead towards a boulder, trying to blast it but it will not be strong enough to break through.

New Pokemon Snap Golisopod

New Pokemon Snap players must successfully throw an Illumina Orb at the Clawitzer before it tries to blast the boulder. Once powered up, it will be able to blast open the hidden cave. This is the entrance to the first alternate route found on this course. Players can scan the opening to enter the cave. To return to this route on future runs, players will be able to scan the Clawitzer that emerges from the cave.

After reaching Research Level 3, players will unlock the "Golisopod Training" request. Now that the alternate route is open, they will be able to use it to head towards the ancient ruins at the bottom of the cave. There will be three trails of bubbles zooming through the water above the ruins. These are Clawitzers. Notice that one of them eventually breaks apart from the group and approaches a resting Golisopod near a broken column. The player will need to throw an Illumina Orb at the Clawitzer before it can attempt to blast the Golisopd. If successful, the powered-up Clawitzer will perform a strong blast of bubbles and wake the Golisopd. Afterward, it will swim away.

At this point, the main focus for the player is to take a high-quality photo of the Golisopds. After waking up, the Golisopod will start walking towards another Golisopod in the area. Once they meet, the two Pokemon will begin fighting one another. Quickly snap a picture of the "training" Golisopods. Make sure that both can be clearly seen in order for the photo to count. This will complete the "Golisopd Training" request.

New Pokemon Snap is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
