New Pokemon Snap has dozens of requests for players to figure out for the NPC characters. These act as sort of side quests for New Pokemon Snap, and players will need to snap photos of certain Pokemon doing specific actions. Many of these requests, such as the Best Frenemies Request, are pretty difficult to figure out, which is where this guide comes in.

Best Frenemies Request in New Pokemon Snap

The Best Frenemies request is given to players by Professor Mirror himself, and shows a picture of Pinsir with the text reading: "There's a Pokemon that Pinsir tussles with often, but the two are actually good friends." If players remember correctly, there's a Pinsir in the Florio Nature Park (Night) course. Players should head there first, but before that, they need to make sure that have access to the Melody, Illumina Orbs, and the research level 2 for this area.

Shortly after players cross a small wooden bridge over a river, they will soon approach a Crystabloom flower right by a Pinsir that's stuck in the dirt. Before getting to the Pinsir, players need to press the Y button to shoot Illumina Orbs at the Pokemon and it will then stand up and turn around. At this point, players should keep scanning with the X button until a Heracross falls out of the tree and interacts with Pinsir.

Now, players will want to keep going through the level until they get close to a Torterra that's on the other side of a stone bridge, as seen in the image below. Once players get a good angle, they need to start tossing Illumina Orbs a little bit behind Torterra's head so that they can wake up a napping Sylveon. It'll be hard to spot at first due to its small stature, but just keep throwing orbs and it'll eventually get woken up.

Now, players should spot Pinsir and Heracross close to each other. The goal now is to throw some more orbs at both Pokemon until they begin to approach each other. Eventually, the two will begin to have a little Pokemon battle of their own. At this point, players should press R to play the melody and the two will stop fighting as a Sylveon comes over to them.

The moment that players will want to capture with their camera is shown in the image below. The group of Pokemon will begin to smile and laugh, and that's the snapshot that will complete the request from Mirror. However, players will definitely need to make sure that the camera is focused on Pinsir, as it is the target Pokemon for the photo request.
