Niantic didn't reveal exactly what new features will be coming to Pokemon GO in 2018, but many fans are hoping that next year will finally bring long-requested features like Pokemon trading and PvP battles to the game.

While official details on Pokemon GO's 2018 updates remain scarce, a recent acquisition by Niantic does give us an idea of what to expect. Recently, Niantic purchased the Evertoon team to develop new social features for Pokemon GO. What form these social features will take remains to be seen, but hopefully they are designed to help players assemble raid groups easier.
