It's been a week since Destiny 2: Beyond Light became available and news surrounding the release show no sign of slowing down. Players have been getting familiar with the new Stasis subclasses and other gameplay systems, while also wondering about the activities that haven't yet fully revealed themselves. Searching for any and all secrets, players discover a new kill farming spot in the secondary zone of the expansion, the Cosmodrome.

This could be a very significant find because the Destiny Content Vault came into affect with the release of Destiny 2: Beyond Light and removed a famous farming spot from the game. The so-called "Thrall Room" inside The Whisper mission on Io was an easily accessible space that threw countless easy to kill enemies at the player, making killstreaks very easy. This was primarily used to hastily complete exotic weapon catalysts, which usually require tons of kills.

The Cosmodrome is another free-to-play zone, much like Io, and its mission Schism is just as easily accessible as The Whisper. Schism can be played as part of the second step in the New Light questline, called Stronger Together. Inside the mission, players will be required to stand near their Ghost as he works on a communications antenna. While he works his magic, many platoons of Fallen will drop around the player, but only for the duration that Ghost requires.

However, if the player jumps on top of the antenna structure the objective timer will stop progressing. The good news is that Fallen will keep spawning because the player is still near Ghost. This creates an endless loop of enemies to kill as the Fallen continuously swarm the objective zone. As this is a newcomer oriented mission, players will never get overwhelmed by enemies because the next platoon of Fallen only spawn after the previous has been wiped. Players will not be matchmade in this location as well, making it impossible for other Guardians to steal their kills.

Even if players quit the mission without completing it, they can jump back in and resume their kill farm. Or, they can pick up the New Light quest chain again from the Quest Archive. This is god news for the more dedicated fans as there is bound to be lengthy kill requirements for various weapons in year 4 of Destiny 2. It is unclear whether this bug warrants a fix from Bungie so the community might have a new farming spot only a week after the previous one was lost.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
