Namco Bandai has become pretty well known for its annual Dragon Ball-themed fighting game. Last year’s instalment, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, was very popular among fans of the franchise, and some still play it to this day. With an immense roster and hours upon hours of gameplay and unlockable content it’s not hard to see why fans are so enchanted with the series. If you’ve just begun getting bored with the previous game though, you’ll be happy to know that Namco Bandai is already hard at work on a new version for 2011.

Currently given the name Dragon Ball Game Project Age 2011, Namco Bandai pulled the curtain off of the new Dragon Ball game only a few days ago. The project was officially announced during a recent press release, amidst the likes of Soul Calibur 5, and a brand new trailer was dropped showing off the latest DBZ game in action.

The wait for the latest Dragon Ball game is almost over (nine thousand!!!!), so feel free to watch the debut trailer for the new game — conveniently located right here:

The debut trailer really doesn’t reveal much about the game other than the fact that Goku and Vegeta will return as playable characters (duh), and that the fighting will remain essentially the same. After the logo pops up at the end of the trailer there is a split second where Goku is fighting a giant gorilla (which Vegeta has presumably transformed into), and this little snippet seems to hint at the ability to transform into the giant ape for a small bit of time during combat.

We’ll learn more about the the game and its likely immense roster as E3 comes closer, so stay tuned to Game Rant for more information on the new title Dragon Ball Game Project Age 2011 as it becomes available.
