Ever since the release of the first teaser trailer back in July, many fans have been looking forward to the release of this series. The addition of these new posters alone have caused additional excitement within The Witcher community.

Having said this, there are a lot of fans that share a certain skepticism when it comes to The Witcher series. This Netflix adaptation will rely heavily on the series of books that preceded the video game franchise of the same name. For some fans, their only exposure to the franchise is by way of playing the video games, so it's possible that what The Witcher fans want might not be reflected in terms of the final product.

However, judging by early reactions to The Witcher, it seems that a significant number of fans possess a great confidence in Netflix. Perhaps what it ultimately comes down to is finding the right people to work on these projects: people that legitimately care about what they are making and doing the franchise justice. Only time will tell.

Netflix’s The Witcher starring Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, and Freya Allan is set to release on December 20th and will include eight full length episodes.
