As the coronavirus continues to sweep through the world, more and more people are staying home and tuning into the TV, or in many cases, streaming services like Netflix. The virus has also impacted the production of shows, leading to delays and possibly to cancellation, as may have been the case with Messiah.

It is not only live action shows that are feeling the burn, of course, as all personnel and artists necessary for shows both live action and animated are forced to stay at home and take precautions to stay healthy. Even as Netflix becomes more relied upon for entertainment, the company must attend carefully to its own future.

Fans of The Witcher will no doubt find this particularly distressing, as production for the series has been set back by the coronavirus outbreak and its future is still uncertain. Not all is lost for fans of live action fantasy series on Netflix though. The more recent and increasingly popular adaptation of Locke & Key, based on the popular comic book of the same name, has officially been renewed for its second season. A recent, very short trailer depicted a key from the show bearing the number 2.

Of course, even without COVID-19 complications that will no doubt arise, that second season is still a long way off. Fortunately, there are other shows to check out on Netflix for fans of Locke & Key, so be sure to give them a watch while staying home.
