It seems like the trivia and guessing games are leading the latest trends within the online community. Given just how popular the daily word-guessing game Wordle has recently become, it is not surprising for big name brands and platforms to follow suit. Streaming service Netflix is not exempt from the trend, as the company has just announced that it will be launching a daily trivia game within its platform.

Netflix continues to be an innovative and evolving platform, even though its services initially offered video-on-demand. Beyond providing already released pop culture movies and series for its audience, Netflix has definitely branched out in the past few years. Not only has it introduced interactive episodes and shows like in Black Mirror and You Vs. Wild with Bear Grylls, Netflix has also brought to life various video game and geek cultural icons such as The Witcher series with Henry Cavill, Philippine comic series Trese, and more.

Now, it seems Netflix is also getting in on the relevant trivia game trend that is becoming increasingly popular today thanks to games like Jackbox Party Pack. Announcing that it is releasing a new interactive series based on etermax's Trivia Crack, Netflix's Trivia Quest will have viewers answer questions on a daily basis. The announcement comes with a trailer of the series, which introduces the main character Willy who will face off with the Evil Rocky to rescue his captured friends from Trivia Land. The trailer also shows off what the trivia game would look like, including the format of the question-and-answer portions.

According to the official post on the Netflix site, Trivia Quest will launch on April 1, and will release a new episode every day for thirty days. Each episode will have 24 questions from various categories, making it seem quite challenging for a daily trivia challenge game. However, each question will have multiple choices, and players can actually revisit a previous episode to answer any questions they may have missed or answered wrong. It is also interesting to note that Trivia Quest will be available on all devices that support Netflix, so players can actually complete a new episode either on their desktop browsers, mobile devices, gaming consoles, and even iPod touches.

As the trends continue to shift and change, many can expect that Netflix will be right alongside its viewers in its bid to take entertainment to the next level. Knowing that the platform has a penchant for thinking outside the box, subscribers are likely interested to see what new service it will offer in the future.

Netflix's Trivia Quest will be available on April 1, 2022.
