League of Legends was released in 2009, and although it has been around for more than a decade, the game still manages to pull in over 100 million concurrent players. When a game is as popular as League, it is only a matter of time before new projects emerge, which is why Arcane exists.

Arcane focuses on Vi and Jinx, two of League of Legends' more popular characters. The Netflix series is not like other animated shows, but it is still a show about sisters trying to find each other. With that said, there are several other subplots that revolve around the political and societal differences between Piltover and the Undercity-which eventually becomes Zaun. Fans of the game saw a number of other champions in the show, and since a second season is coming, they will likely see even more characters appear.

9 Warwick: The Uncaged Wrath Of Zaun

Warwick Hunting In Zaun

Warwick is one of League of Legends' original champions, and his story used to involve Soraka, but that all changed in 2017 when he received a full rework. According to his current lore, Warwick was originally a man who was transformed into a beast after being subjected to horrible experiments.

Warwick now hunts criminals who terrorize Zaun, and his body is fused with machinery that pumps a seemingly more advanced form of Shimmer into his veins. Fans believe that they got a glimpse of the man who will become Warwick in Arcane's Season 1 finale, and the prevailing theory is that Vander was the man strung up in Singed's lab.

8 Ziggs: The Hexplosives Expert

Ziggs Tossing One Of His Bombs

Thanks to Arcane, the groundwork has been laid for a number of potential future projects, including one that centers around Yordles. The Yordle are a race of spirits who look like adorable little animals, and Heimerdinger has shown that Yordles can be very influential.

Ziggs lived in Piltover, where he worked as an inventor's assistant, but he eventually grew tired of his repetitive life. At some point, the Yordle meets and befriends Jinx, and she convinces him to move to Zaun. Ziggs loves to blow things up with his bombs, and he uses them to terrorize the chem-barons and ordinary citizens.

7 Blitzcrank: The Great Steam Golem

Blitzcrank Using It's Pull Ability

There are a couple of skins in League that actually give players an advantage, and one of them belongs to Blitzcrank. This huge golem is considered to be near-indestructible, and he was built to help get rid of all of Zaun's hazardous waste, but he has since evolved.

Arcane has shown that Hextech can bring machinery to life, and Blitzcrank would take this feat to the next level. He may be a machine, but Blitz wishes to help those in need, and he can use his incredible strength to support the people of Zaun in Season 2.

6 Camille: The Steel Shadow

Camille Patrolling Piltover

Camille may not be one of the strongest champions in League's lore, but she is a perfect example of what happens when a person decides to heavily augment their body with Hextech. Arcane introduced fans to the Enforcers, and based on the final shot of Season 1's finale, they will be spending a lot more time in the Undercity.

Camille is an 80-year-old woman who has aged much slower because of her Hextech heart, and her legs are now long, sharp blades. She also uses hooks and wires to move much more freely. She is tasked with making sure Zaun does not become too powerful, and it has been suggested that she knows the identity of the person who killed Vi's parents.

5 Zac: The Secret Weapon

Zac Breaking Out Of A Lab

Arcane showed that the people of Zaun have to deal with a lot of toxic and hazardous material, and some of that material ended up becoming sentient. Zac is the result of a toxic spill, and he came to life because the ooze, which would later become his body, ran through a chemtech seam. The ooze then pooled inside one of Zaun's isolated caves.

Zac is eventually captured by a group of chemtech alchymists who worked for a chem-baron. Two of the alchymists wanted to teach Zac right from wrong and released him. Zac considered them to be his parents, and when they are killed, he vows to help rebuild Zaun while also helping anyone in need.

4 Darius: The Hand Of Noxus

Darius On The Battlefield

Piltover and the would-be nation of Zaun might have been Arcane's main focus, but the show mentioned Noxus as well, and it introduced fans to Ambessa Medarda-Mel's mother, and a Noxian warlord. Now that Noxus is involved in Piltover, it is the perfect opportunity for the show to introduce a younger Darius.

Darius is arguably the most feared leader that Noxus has, and he and Singed have a history that can be explored in the second season. Singed made Darius' daughter rebel against Noxus, and in doing so, she killed her mother.

3 Orianna: The Lady Of Clockwork

Orianna Activating Her Ball

Orianna possesses one of the best burst mage ultimates in the game, but new players should avoid taking her into ranked games because she is also one of the hardest characters to play. Orianna was human once, but her body began failing after an accident in Zaun caused her to become incurably ill.

Her father was a renowned artificer, and when Orianna became ill, he decided to build her a new body. He also placed her Hextech heart inside of her trademark brass orb. Season 2 would be the perfect opportunity to introduce Orianna before she becomes one of Piltover's technological marvels.

2 Twitch: The Plague Rat

Twitch In Zaun

There are a few things in Arcane that only die-hard League fans would notice, but even some of the more dedicated fans might have missed Twitch's origins. According to his lore, Twitch started out as a simple plague rat who mutated while moving through Zaun's waste.

Twitch is armed with a chemtech crossbow, and he wishes to create a kingdom of filth while simultaneously plotting humanity's destruction. When Singed was experimenting with Shimmer in the show, he gave some of it to a plague rat, so the show may have already prepared Twitch for his season 2 debut.

1 Urgot: The Dreadnought

Urgot Being Worked On In Zaun

If Arcane were to introduce Urgot in season 2, it would be a good way to show just how close Piltover and Noxus are. Urgot was once a Noxian headsman who killed a lot of people for the empire – the same empire that eventually betrayed Urgot and shipped him off to prison mine beneath Zaun.

A mining disaster frees Urgot, and the chaos that later ensues allows him to become an imposing force in Zaun's underworld. When Urgot starts attacking members of Piltover's merchant clans, he is arrested and placed in a special cell. When his underlings attempt to break him out, Vi and Caitlyn arrive to thwart his escape.

Arcane's Season 1 can currently be streamed on Netflix.
