Having started life as a somewhat simple yet highly enjoyable racing game, Need For Speed has evolved into a fairly complex series complete with expansive open worlds, in-depth customization options, and surprisingly deep narratives. Need For Speed Unbound continues this rich tradition, with players racing for a mixture of passion, pride, and revenge.

The game's story mode is broken up into day and night sessions, with special events taking place at fixed points on the calendar. Initially, players will want to make the most of every session available to them; attending as many meets as possible to bring in some extra cash for customizing their cars and upgrading the garage. There'll come a point, however, when they'll have way more money than they could ever possibly spend, at which point, some players may find themselves wondering how to skip days or nights in Need For Speed Unbound.

How to Skip Sessions in Need For Speed Unbound

Usually, the only way to end a session is to take part in a race and then return to a safe house. This can be somewhat time-consuming though, as it requires players to drive to a meet, take part in a race before, and then drive all the way back. There'll more than likely be a police chase thrown in there as well, meaning that players can expect to be spending a minimum of 15 minutes or so per session even if they're trying to rush. Thankfully, though, there is a much faster way.

Rather than going through the hassle of racing, players can instead get busted by the cops to immediately end the session. Usually, this would lead to them losing any unbanked cash, but if they get busted before actually participating in any races, they won't have any cash for the cops to seize. With this in mind, players who want to skip a day or night in Need For Speed Unbound can simply leave the safehouse, crash into the first cop car that they see, and allow themselves to get busted.

It should perhaps go without saying, but due to the way that time passes in Need For Speed Unbound, players should think very carefully about skipping days this way. Granted, they won't lose any money, but they will miss out on valuable opportunities to earn more, which could have a big impact on their performance in some of the more challenging races; particularly when playing on higher difficulty settings. In all likelihood though, most players will reach a point where their cars are all souped up and they have no need for more cash, at which point, skipping a session or two may well be the best option.

Need for Speed Unbound is available on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
