EA have today announced that fans of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will be able to purchase the Super Sports downloadable content pack within the next two weeks. The Super Sports pack will contain three brand new cars and thirteen new challenges, as well as new achievements and trophies for the Xbox 360 and PS3, respectively.

The three new cars that will feature in the Super Sports pack are the Porche 911 GT2 RS, GUMPERT Apollo S, and -- the pick of the bunch -- the awesome Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. Gamers will be able to play as a Cop as well as  a Racer in all three vehicles, and boy does that Bugatti look mean when all decked out in police decals.

Players will also get thirteen brand new race and pursuit events to add to the challenges already available in Hot Pursuit's huge area, Seacrest County. Details of the new events and achievements are yet to be revealed, but they add a fair amount of value to the DLC pack, and may be more of a reason for players to buy than the cars themselves.

The Super Sports DLC pack will be released on December 21 for Xbox 360 at a cost of 560 Microsoft Points. PS3 users in North America will get the DLC on December 21 for $6.99, whereas racers in Europe will have to wait a day longer for the release on December 22.

Don't forget that back in November, EA set gamers a challenge to view the launch trailer for Hot Pursuit one million times, in order for everyone to get a free download of three vehicles including the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 650-4. As it stands, the launch trailer has just topped 610K views, so why not watch the launch trailer now to avoid disappointment, as the challenge ends on December 12!
