Need for Speed Heat is the latest title in the long succession of Need for Speed games. The Need for Speed franchise has boasted some of the best racing games of all time, and while Heat doesn't quite reach those lofty heights, it is still a solid contender in the current racing game market.

As is usual with Need for Speed games, the gameplay loop consists of racing, cashing in, and buying new cars to stay competitive. This can leave the player with a huge garage bursting with old cars that just don't make the cut anymore. Some players may want to keep their old stand-bys for nostalgia's sake, but other cars may have no sentimental value. If the player put in their hard-earned cash to buy and upgrade a car shortly before moving on to another, they may want to recoup some of their money.

how to drift in need for speed heat

There are a huge number of cars in Need for Speed Heat, so the garage can fill up pretty quickly with useless space-fillers. The player will be given some free cars throughout the game as well, so selling them can provide a quick boost in cash to make the difference for that next upgrade.

Luckily, it is possible to sell cars in the game, although it is not made very obvious how to do so. In order to sell cars, the player must first go to their garage. From the garage, selecting Showcase will allow the player to see their own cars and their crew's. Changing over to view only the player's cars will allow individual cars to be selected and sold through the "Sell Car" option. After selling off any unwanted cars, players can get back to practicing their Need for Speed drifting skills with a little more scratch lining their pockets.

This process is slightly convoluted, and there are no other locations where the player can sell their cars. Hopefully future Need for Speed content will make this process easier or more obvious.

It is important to note that the starter car cannot be sold, likely just to make sure the player always has at least one vehicle.

It remains to be seen where this game will rank in the long list of great Need for Speed games, but for now it is a fun way to enjoy some quality street racing and arcade-like action.

Need for Speed Heat released on November 8, 2019, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
