After the Finals concluded a series of trades and draft picks were made but NBA 2K23 has not made any changes. This stands to reason since these transitions will reflect on NBA 2K24 instead of this installment. The reason this is significant is that, without any more adjustments to the roster, gamers can now start a career in this game, pick a team, and not have to worry about getting bumped in the depth chart or having playing minutes reduced after a big trade goes down. This is probably the best time to start a MyCareer and this list will not need any further adjustments as any future changes will be reserved for NBA 2K24.

Milwaukee Bucks

If there were only one team on this list, it'd be the Milwaukee Bucks. The rest of the entries are there to suit personal taste. No situation is better than this one. The shooting guard is a lowly 75, tied for the lowest rating among all shooting guards, and can be replaced instantly.

The rest of the starters are all 85+ and superstars. And yes, getting a few of the best playmaking badges and passing every so often to Giannis Antetokounmpo and his sky-high 97 rating is as satisfying as it sounds. Expect another championship title for Milwaukee the instant the MyPlayer arrives on the scene.

Denver Nuggets

This year's NBA champions somehow have a dire need at the shooting guard spot. Taking over the starting job from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is easy with his 77 rating. After that, the rest of the team is 83+, more than capable of winning a second championship with that spot filled by the MyPlayer.

Murray and Jokic are exceptional passers. All those boosts will help make shots even more accurate. Every year, many gamers say that their favorite kind of team to join isn't the one most loaded with talent. They want a cast that won't blow it for them, sure, but they prefer to be the star of the show. If that's the case, consider joining the Magic.

The only sub-80 player on the team is Gary Harris, rated at 75, who can be replaced extremely quickly. After that, players get to show off their top-notch defensive badges, rack up points, and assist the cast of players all while being recognized as the undisputed star in Orlando. The rest of the cast is between 82 and 84, solid enough to not ruin games as the MyPlayer shines.

Chicago Bulls

There may be no team more held back by a player than the Chicago Bulls are held back by a lack of point guard. The Bulls aren't just pretty good outside of this spot, they're great. They just need somebody who can score from the guard position.

New Orleans is in the middle of a tough stretch. Their greatest superstars either have injury problems or get traded away. Thankfully, the video game world is a great place to make up for this kind of bad luck and turn it into good luck.

Especially because the roster is loaded for the Pelicans right now outside of the shooting guard. Without any definitive weakness, players can carve out a role on the squad and play their way while others lock down their spots.
