The latest series of 2K Games content is out for fans of the franchise title to begin collecting and working around obtaining rewards.For a limited time only, fans of NBA 2K22 can purchase the all-new Signature Series Super Pack and collect three Galaxy Opal units and two new Dark Matter items. The series pack is available for 24 hours only, making time of the essence if players want to obtain these new items.The new Galaxy Opal units include Kevin Durant, David Robinson, and Klay Thompson, delivered on a crisp, gold-trimmed design with their signature featured underneath the player image. Thompson and Durant appear to be a 97-overall, while Robinson is a 98-overall and are obtainable by purchasing the new series pack, albeit the odds are low. If players wish to guarantee themselves one of the three items, they can buy the 10-pack Stadium Series set, which guarantees players at least one of the three units. If they're lucky, they may find the NBA 2K22 cover athlete Luka Doncic or Stephen Curry in their Dark Matter form.
Along with the announcement of the new series pack, 2K Games also released a new set of challenges in Season 5 of NBA 2K22 MyTeam. The Season 5, Week 5 challenge allows players to build towards collecting an 86-overall Thanasis Antetokounmpo, which they can add to their lineup for this weekend's challenge that boasts a strict rule-set. The Milwaukee Bucks small forward is averaging 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds through 43 games played this season while averaging 9.1 minutes per game. The available challenge is here for a limited time, and players will have until March 27 to collect Antetokounmpo.
While a Sapphire-level card isn't something to get excited about, it'll be useful for the challenges that are on the horizon. For players who can't spend an ample amount of money to mass-collect the best units in the game through series packs, free rewards like this, or the Galaxy Opal Ralph Samson, are prime examples of how it's still possible to stray from a pay-to-win mentality and remain competitive. Players that have the extra cash and are willing to spend it on the new NBA 2K22 content, the Dark Matter and Galaxy Opal units are items players will not want to miss.
