The sixth season of NBA 2K22 has finally arrived, and with it comes a new series of in-game content for players to collect or earn through various missions. 2K Games brings Season 6: Zero Gravity to players with a myriad of things to work towards, such as new Dark Matter Rewards, Playoff Moment Agendas, and an Invincible Dirk Nowitzki. Not lost in the shuffle is the announcement of a Dark Matter Josh Giddey, the 19-year-old rookie from the Oklahoma City Thunder. He'll be in good company, as NBA 2K22 revealed three more Dark Matter units, set for release on April 8, and they're all significant additions to any team's roster.RELATED: NBA 2K22 Releases New Dark Matter Vince Carter Along With Metamorphosis PackZach Lavine, Blake Griffin, and Paul George will all have new Dark Matter units to collect in Season 6: Zero Gravity and are the first three units revealed outside the initial announcement of the new season. It marks the second time in not too long that Griffin receives a prestigious Dark Matter variant, leaving many players who own the previous version wondering which of the two will be more dominant to use. Lavine's image art is interesting, as he noticeably wears a Minnesota Timberwolves jersey despite spending the last three seasons as a member of the Chicago Bulls, though the announcement does indicate his success as a two-time Slam Dunk Champion, which he did as a member of the Timberwolves.

George's inclusion as a member of the Indiana Pacers is also a hot topic of discussion, as the 31-year-old is a member of the Los Angeles Clippers. The announcement does indicate his ability as a two-way forward, and three of his four all-defensive team awards came as a member of the Pacers, making some sense of the decision. In 30 games this season, George is averaging more points per game, steals, and assists than in his previous two seasons and is turning things around while becoming one of the better small forwards available in NBA 2K22. The trio of George, Lavine, and Griffin are guaranteed to give any team a much-needed boost for the new season.

After a successful Season 5 that rewarded players who reached level 40 with a free Dark Matter unit, Season 6 is already shaping up to be a memorable one. Fans of NBA 2K22's MyCAREER game mode will have ample time to build up their rosters and take on various challenges and agendas, and the new Dark Matter cards are an intriguing start. This season's level 40 reward is a bunny outfit, which doesn't necessarily fit the theme of Zero Gravity, but it does bring a hint of Easter festivities for April. While it isn't as appealing as last season's top reward, it's certainly one that will bring a smile to the face of players who obtain it.

NBA 2K22 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
