While NBA fans will have to wait until next month for their favorite sport to begin its inaugural season, NBA 2K22 has arrived to give them a virtual taste. The latest iteration in the popular sports franchise brings with it new features on offense and defense, as well as some changes to the My Team mode.

What is a Locker Code in NBA 2K22?

For those NBA 2K22 players who want to get a head start on their My Team progress, there have already been a few Locker Codes revealed for the game. These codes will unlock a variety of bonuses, from Free Agent players to boosts to card packs. However, the Locker Codes do have an expiration date, so players should act fast.

How to Enter Locker Codes in NBA 2K22

Redeeming a Locker Code in NBA 2K22 is relatively simple but has changed from previous games. First, players will need to jump into the My Team mode and complete a small introductory tutorial. Normally, players would be able to jump right into the Extras tab to enter their Locker Codes, but for NBA 2K22 the Locker Codes require going to My Team first.

Once past the tutorial and in the My Team interface, NBA 2K22 players should see one of the panels labeled “MyTEAM Community Hub.” At present, the panel also mentions there are Locker Codes available but that may change based on when players choose to redeem their codes.

Once in the Community Hub, there will be a green panel on the bottom left of the screen that will say Locker Code. Select that panel and a virtual keyboard interface will appear and players will be ready to enter their Locker Codes for My Team bonuses.

In order to enter these NBA 2K22 Locker Codes players must include the dashes. Normally redemption codes on game interfaces will put in the dashes for the user, but that is not the case here. The codes are not case sensitive, though, so don’t worry about that.

NBA 2K22 Locker Codes for September 10-17

As of this writing, there are three Locker Codes available for NBA 2K22 besides the pre-order codes that are included with select editions of the game and random giveaway codes that might be floating around Twitter. For example, Kevin Durant gave away a Locker Code that unlocked 1,000,000 currency for the first lucky player to redeem it.

While not as awesome as 1,000,000 NBA 2K22 currency, the below codes are still very useful.

Each code includes a decent number of in-game items that should benefit any NBA 2K22 players that are just starting out. The first code will only be active for three days but the other two will be active for roughly a week following the launch of NBA 2K22, which means that players have until around September 16 to redeem them.

2K Games loves to give players redemption codes for goodies, and NBA 2K players are only just beginning when it comes to Locker Codes. There are likely tons more goodies on the way for those who pay attention to the code releases.

NBA 2K22 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
