Naruto Uzumaki is the strongest ninja of all time. He possesses some ridiculously powerful abilities, which put him on a completely different level to the other characters in Naruto. In Naruto: The Last, he was able to create a huge crater on the moon, with just a single punch.

With an array of strong powers at his disposal, there are only a few characters in Naruto who can stand their ground against Naruto. While there are many strong jutsu that Naruto has at his disposal none of them can match his ability to convince his opponents to change their ways. This particular technique is known as Talk no Jutsu, and, while it has largely been successful, there have been times when it has failed to have any effect on his opponents.

6 Madara Uchiha

Madara Uchiha Battling With The Rinnegan In Naruto

Madara Uchiha co-founded the Hidden Leaf along with Hashirama Senju. In fact, it was Madara who came up with the name of the village. However, after seeing that many people did not like the Uchiha, Madara decided to leave the village. Shortly afterward, Madara met Black Zetsu, who manipulated him and made him believe that the Infinite Tsukuyomi was the only way of bringing peace throughout the world.

After failing to beat Hashirama, Madara entrusted his plan to Obito. Madara was finally reanimated during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Madara managed to get his hands on the Rinnegan, and then he became the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails. Naruto tried to reason with Madara, but the latter had already made up his mind and he was not going to let Naruto change it.

5 Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke using Blaze Release Chidori

Sasuke Uchiha is one of the main characters in the series. From the very beginning, Sasuke looked like an anti-social person. The reason for his behavior was his horrendous past. Sasuke was traumatized by his older brother, Itachi whom he used to love so much. Itachi was forced to kill their parents. If that weren't bad enough already, he then decided to further traumatize Sasuke by using genjutsu on him.

Sasuke grew up hating his brother and he wanted to become strong so that he could avenge his parents. When Itachi reappeared in the Hidden Leaf, Sasuke decided to test his power but was ultimately defeated. Sasuke remembered Orochimaru's offer and decided to leave the Hidden Leaf. Naruto tried to convince him to stay in the Hidden Leaf, but Sasuke's main priority was getting revenge, so he defeated Naruto and went to Orochimaru.

4 Hidan and Kakuzu

Kakuzu and Hidan from the Akatsuki

Hidan and Kakuzu were members of Akatsuki, and they had abilities that made them almost unkillable. Together, the two of them were known as the "Zombie Duo." They were both incredibly ruthless, and they did not care about the lives of other people. When Naruto learned that they had killed Asuma he was furious. Whenever he encountered new enemies, Naruto would always try to talk them out of their goals, but this wasn't the case when he met the Zombie Duo.

Naruto didn't even try to reason with them, and it was mainly because he knew that his Talk no Jutsu would have no effect on either of them. Of course, there is a possibility that Naruto's Talk no Jutsu could have worked, but the way Naruto acted was out of character, which highly implies that he was unsure of his ability to influence the Akatsuki duo.

3 Orochimaru

Orochimaru (Naruto)

Once a famed ninja of the Hidden Leaf, Orochimaru was driven out of the village after Hiruzen Sarutobi found out about his sordid experiments. After being disgraced by the Hidden Leaf, Orochimaru began to plot his revenge. He wanted to destroy the Hidden Leaf and make them pay. He even joined the Akatsuki, but he did not remain there for long.

When Orochimaru finally returned to the Hidden Leaf, he killed the Third Hokage. He also tried to kill Naruto and Sasuke in the Forest of Death. Orochimaru was absolutely evil, and he had no hesitation about killing other people. So, when Naruto confronted Orochimaru, the former lost control, and he even attacked the former Hidden Leaf ninja.

2 Kurama

Kurama from Naruto

The Nine-Tails is considered to be one of the most dangerous weapons in existence. Out of the nine tailed beasts, Kurama is the strongest. Throughout history, Kurama's appearance was linked to natural disasters. Several years before the story began, Kurama was unleashed on the Hidden Leaf by Obito Uchiha.

The attack resulted in multiple deaths including those of Minato and Kushina, who were Naruto's parents. Before dying, Minato managed to seal half of the Nine-tails inside Naruto because he trusted him to tame its power one day. Naruto struggled a lot of times, and, on many occasions, he nearly lost control. It wasn't until the very end of the series that Naruto finally won over Kurama.

1 Itachi Uchiha

For the majority of the series, Itachi was considered to be a criminal who had absolutely no morals. After his death, however, the truth came to light. At no point would any fan have believed that Itachi was carrying a great deal of emotional baggage. Like all of the other people, Naruto had no way of knowing that Itachi had such a big secret.

So, when Naruto ran into Itachi, the former decided to talk to him. Naruto began to talk about how he was a better brother to Sasuke than Itachi could ever be. This did not have any effect on Itachi, and instead of being swayed by Naruto's speech, Itachi put him under genjutsu and asked him questions. Before leaving, Itachi also placed his crow inside Naruto.
