The Recycler is the first big commission that players will have to fulfill in My Time at Sandrock. In order to make one, farming simulation video game players will need to learn how to interact with their Workbench and their building platform.

How to Get the Recycler Plans in My Time at Sandrock

The first couple of quests in My Time at Sandrock involve learning the ropes in Sandrock, including making a Recycler. These are important for making all sorts of necessary materials to complete commissions. To make one, players will first need to have a chat with Yan.

Yan is the head of the Sandrock Commerce Guild. This Guild gives players commissions and recipes to purchase for their Workbench. After chatting with Yan and making a pickhammer, he will request that they make a Recycler and will give them the plans.

How to Build a Recycler in Sandrock

In order to build this important machine in the sequel to My Time at Portia, head out into the area near the Workshop to look for piles of scrap. In the different scrap piles, players can find stone and other debris to make the necessary materials. The Recycler needs:

  • 3 Wood
  • 2 Stone Troughs
  • 2 Grinding Saws

Thankfully, this video game is set in a rural town, so players will have plenty of open land to scrounge for these items. The wood can be found in both trash piles, which don't require a tool to dig through, or Wooden Scrap piles, which need an axe to break up. There is an abandoned axe near the builder's new home, so players don't have to build one for themselves.

Next, use the new pickhammer to break up Gravel and dig through Stone trash piles in order to get the Stone and the Dinas for the Grinding Saws. A total of 8 Dinas and 2 Stone are needed to make these at the Workbench.

Head to the Assembly Station. Choose the Recycler and then click construct in the bottom right-hand corner. Make sure to have all three needed items in the builder's inventory, then interact with the ghost of the Recycler on the building platform.
