Earlier today, Bandai Namco announced that the new game My Hero One's Justice 2 will feature three additional playable characters. Given the success of My Hero Academia and its ever-growing fanbase, this new game has got many fans excited for its release sometime next year.

My Hero Academia is a popular Japanese manga and anime series that has found an incredibly large amount of success all across the world. The popularity of the series inspired the release of the first My Hero One's Justice game back in October of last year, and a few My Hero Academia characters  Jump Force.

The newly revealed My Hero One's Justice 2 characters are Fat Gum, Twice, and Mr. Compress. These three characters will be added to the roster of playable characters, alongside new characters that are prominent in the latest season of the My Hero Academia anime. With all of these additional characters being added and My Hero Academia's already large cast of characters, this game's roster is sure to be extensive in its selection.

As is the case with most anime-based video games, it is hard to predict how well a game like this might succeed. Given the extreme level of My Hero Academia's popularity, it makes sense that a series like this one would receive significant video game adaptations. There have already been two My Hero Academia games that have released, but unfortunately, both were fairly forgettable experiences. With how much love and attention the series has received from the fans, My Hero Academia is a franchise that deserves quality games to complement an already quality anime series.

That being said, if there is one thing that Bandai Namco is famous for it's the long list of successful fighting games the company has under its belt, such as Tekken 7 and Dragon Ball FighterZ. Though, when it comes to My Hero Academia and other titles like Jump Force, the studio seems to fall short. Perhaps to have a good My Hero Academia game would require a different studio studio to work on it. Then again, the beauty of video game sequels is the developer's ability to go back and perfect imperfections. Maybe that's just what this new My Hero Academia needs.

My Hero One's Justice 2 is set to release in 2020.
