This successful shonen loves to dabble in the grey area between protagonists and antagonists, creating detestable heroes and admirable villains in the process. While many of the nefarious characters in My Hero Academia don't always conduct themselves in the best manner, their intentions are often justified and stem from an almost altruistic place.

While the League of Villains is essentially filled with a bunch of miscreants generally on their own mission in life (but still willing to follow orders to a certain degree), a strong element of camaraderie has formed amongst some of the members over time. One or two other baddies have not associated with Shigaraki's squad and managed to display honorable qualities on occasion, earning themselves a spot among the most virtuous villains in My Hero Academia.

The following article contains spoilers for Season 6 of My Hero Academia.

8 Loyal and Selfless

Gigantomachia from My Hero Academia

Although Gigantomachia is about as sharp as a marble, he has very high standards when it comes to loyalty. However, those who manage to win him over have his unwavering devotion, no questions asked. The monstrous Machia admires strength above all else and will not just blindly follow orders or fall prey to conniving manipulation tactics.

Fans can tell just from one look that Gigantomachia is a villain to the core. However, this beast does not have a selfish bone in his body and will gladly dedicate all his time and energy, even risking his life, for the sake of his master. Shigaraki owes Gigantomachia a debt of gratitude for his contribution to the League's cause, and the Paranormal Liberation Front would have likely been destroyed with ease if Machia hadn't "protected the weak."

7 The Free-Thinker

Mr. Compress My Hero Academia

This highly intelligent individual stands for freedom above all else as he strongly believes that everyone should choose their own path in life as opposed to being slaves to the system. Mr. Compress is unimpressed when he first meets the UA students and accuses them of being sheep, voluntarily sacrificing their free will to indiscriminately follow a bunch of celebrities.

Mr. Compress takes great pride in being a role model to other villains and gives his teammate a stern talking-to when they resort to committing petty low-life crimes during the Meta Liberation Army Arc. He does his best to keep Himiko out of harm's way when she goes on a vengeful warpath in Season 6 and has evidently grown quite fond of the band of "brothers."

6 Cool, Calm, and Collected

Kurogiri Preparing To Use Warp Gate In The League Of Villains Hideout

To reflect his dapper attire, Kurogiri always makes sure to conduct himself in a respectable manner, even greeting his foes and making a point to formally introduce himself before the battle commences. Kurigiri evidently has a soft spot for Shigaraki, which extends beyond the typical Nomu-Master bond, and is one of the few people capable of soothing the stubborn savage.

While it is unclear whether or not he has any control over the matter, Kurogiri stays tightlipped during his incarceration and refuses to reveal any villainous secrets for his own benefit. He also advocates for the struggling outcasts to be welcomed into the folds of the League, lest they have nothing else to live for in this cruel world.

5 Sticking To A Moral Code

Spinner My Hero Academia

This Hero Killer admirer will often question the intentions of his fellow Villains, passing judgment by holding them up to Stain's ideals, without concern for the celebrated saviors, but still considerate of society as a whole. Spinner is less than pleased to discover Shigaraki's desire to destroy everyone, innocents included, and will even attack one of his own if he feels they are out of line.

Spinner defends Deku (in Stain's honor) from Magne's murderous assault in "Drive It Home, Iron Fist!" but does not hold a grudge against her. He is clearly heartbroken by the deaths of his fallen comrades and ensures to give Himiko an encouraging pep-talk in Season 6 before her death-defying solo mission to find Ochaco.

4 The True Gentleman

Gentle Criminal and La Brava in My Hero Academia

Danjuro Tobita is such a sweetheart that he had to add the term "Criminal" to his name just so people would know that he's (attempting to be) a villain. Having never severely broken the law (mostly just trespassing or disturbing the peace), this gentleman is a well-mannered, almost upstanding citizen who would rather be enjoying a cup of tea while creating video content than inciting any kind of violence.

The father-daughter bond between Gentle Criminal and La Brava is adorable enough to melt hearts and is clearly more than a mutually beneficial relationship. When all is said and done, Tobita attempts to sacrifice himself to save his dear Manami from incarceration, wishing to take the brunt of the punishment in her place.

3 For Love and Honour

My Hero Academia: Was Himiko Always Doomed For The Dark Side? Himiko Toga League of Villains Paranormal Liberation Front Crunchyroll

If anyone has issues with authority it's Himiko Toga, who will happily spend the last of the League's resources to purchase a cute new duffel coat with no consideration for their needs. That being said, Himiko covets love above all else (in her own twisted way) and will follow her paramours to the ends of the earth, often showing concern for their safety.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: Best Gal Pals

Twice and Himiko are as thick as thieves, and the young villainess is evidently disturbed by his devastating death, much like when Magne is brutally chopped down. For someone who loves blood, she sure is sensitive about losing a loved one. Unable to move on with her life, Himiko risks it all for the sake of vengeance and honor, unwilling to let her dear friend's murder go unpunished.

2 The Influencer

Stain in My Hero Academia

A villain must surely have a strong motivating factor to inspire the admiration of innocent civilians, as The Hero Killer collects quite a following after his run-in with Gran Torino and Endeavor. Devoting his life to eradicating fraudulent celebrities from the Pro-Hero ranks can be considered praiseworthy, and essentially is not entirely different from any other vigilante out there.

His methods may be brutal but Stain's code of conduct is concrete: destroy those who have displayed false motives as saviors and convince society to stop financially rewarding acts of heroism. Innocent lives do not need to be targeted, and true Heroes such as Deku are exempt from his lethal critiques too.

1 The Valiant Villain

My Hero Academia Twice Living As A Civilian

Twice earns a substantial amount of screentime during his My Hero Academia days and is arguably the most likable character in the League of Villians. Battling with his own mental health issues never stops Jin Bubaigawara from being there for his friends, as he will face his greatest nightmares head-on if any of their lives are on the line.

Despite his harrowing past, Twice is still quick to trust and evidently yearns for a familial bond, loving Himiko like a sister and treating Hawks as a long-lost brother. Jin's last spur of energy could have been used to save himself, but instead, he creates clones and sends them out on a rescue mission, completely overwhelmed by guilt from the role he played in putting the League in danger.
