While many of the Pro-Heroes and prospective students dominate on the battlefield, it is safe to say that they wouldn't be as successful as they are today without a little help from their supportive allies. Thankfully, My Hero Academia is chock-a-block with advantageous abilities that are perfectly suited for teamwork, making the lead Heroes' lives significantly easier.

As the Paranormal Liberation Front has so eloquently proven, it's not just a person's unique abilities that make them an asset, as their personality traits also influence how they conduct themselves on the battlefield. The following characters will, therefore, not only be assessed on their Quirk but also take each individual's caring characteristics into account, too.

10 Ochaco's Zero Gravity

My Hero Academia Best Support Heroes Ochaco Uraraka

While fans are well aware of why Ochaco Uraraka is so incredibly attentive towards Deku's needs during combat, her compassion is transferable to any situation, as Uravity always does everything in her power to protect the innocent. With Zero Gravity, this lovable Hero can make anything she touches weightless, creating significant distance between herself (or allies) and the enemy, or conveniently moving obstacles out of the way.

Ochaco can release these gravity-defying bonds at a moment's notice, potentially sending her victims hurtling toward the ground or suddenly burying them under a pile of rubble. She has made great efforts to improve her combat skills as well, under the tutelage of the admirable Gunhead.

9 Thirteen's Top-Notch Training

My Hero Academia Best Support Heroes Thirteen

This search and rescue specialist has dedicated several years to perfecting their trade, and much like the Wild Wild Pussycats, Thirteen would rather be saving lives than fighting villains. While their extensive skillset is not entirely focused on bolstering a Hero's chances on the battlefield, it must be great to fight one's foes without having to worry about the civilians' safety too, as Thirteen will undoubtedly have that covered!

If push comes to shove, Anan Kurose will activate Black Hole and begin sucking any unfortunate bystanders into its depths, with the potential to demolish those consumed on an atomic level. This Quirk has enough potency to destroy entire Universes if left unchecked, which is why Thirteen would rather keep it tucked away for the sake of everyone's well-being.

8 Mezo Shoji's Phenomenal Physique

My Hero Academia Tentacole Mezo Shoji

Tentacole is arguably one of the most underrated Heroes of Class A, but he may still get his chance to shine! Not only is Shoji a recon expert but his Quirk has incredible offensive potential, while he is already a natural at defending the weak. This bizarre young man can generate multiple limb-like protrusions that are capped with enhanced replicas of a specific body part (i.e., eyes with better vision, ears with improved hearing, etc.)

Dupli-Arms can also bend to form webbed, wing-like growths or extend the length of Shoji's (potentially) limitless limbs for greater mobility. He is also capable of encapsulating and protecting allies with these protrusions and can integrate extra arms (or legs) into his fighting style, creating a one-man army empowered with several Fists of Fury.

7 Ibara Shiozaki's Versatile Vines

My Hero Academia Best Support Heroes Ibara Shiozaki

The seemingly soft-natured Ibara has a few Ultimate Moves hidden in her hair that have a similar vibe to Avatar's Swampbenders, with a much more graceful and elegant delivery, that is. The ethereal Ibara has a thick bush of vines growing out of her head which can be manipulated in length and density while speedily navigating through (and overwhelming) the battlefield.

Via Dolorosa is a broad-ranged attack that covers Ibara's surroundings with her green hair, each Vine ready to strike at a moment's notice (while simultaneously revealing the enemy's position to the girl). Crucifixion has an almost Venus Flytrap effect, where anything that touches it will find itself trapped within a ball of tendrils, or alternatively, Ibara can create a Faith Shield of creepers to fend off her foes.

6 Recovery Girl's Cultivating Kiss

My Hero Academia Recovery Girl's Quirk What if Villain

Sustaining wounds during combat (or training) doesn't seem all that bad, as all it takes is enduring a Kiss from a sweet yet stern old lady, and after a short rest, things should be A-Okay. Despite appearances, Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl's Heal does not, in fact, miraculously cure the recipient but speeds up their natural healing process instead.

As nifty as Chiyo Shuzenji's Quirk may be, it does have its limitations. Severe damage would require too much energy from the already-injured patient and potentially cause more harm than good, which Midoriya discovers the hard way. Recovery Girl has to also be kept at a safe distance from the action (she has not aged as well as Gran Torino, unfortunately).

5 Aizawa's Epic Erasure

My Hero Academia's smartest heroes Eraser Head Shota Aizawa Pro Hero UA High School Class A Teacher

By simply laying eyes upon someone and ensuring they never leave his range of vision, Eraser Head can completely negate their Quirk, subsequently leaving his victim completely helpless (well, more often than not). Although Aizawa has no superhuman offensive abilities, he has tirelessly honed his self-developed Binding Cloth skills, which allow him greater maneuverability and the option to restrain the enemy.

Eraser Head wears specialized glasses during combat that keeps his line of vision a secret, adding another stealthy element to his fighting style. The No. 1 Hero is so impressed by Erasure's effectiveness that he tries to persuade Aizawa to take on the lucrative role of Endeavor's sidekick; however, this Sensai's paternal instincts dismissed the notion immediately.

4 Momo Yaoyorozu's Curious Creations

My Hero Academia Best Support Heroes Momo Yaoyorozu

While Momo's versatile Quirk and exceptional intellect have more than enough potential to grant her a lead protagonist position, her lack of confidence often results in this ebony-haired beauty fulfilling the support role instead. She will often lead her team in battle after coming up with a sound strategy but often uses her skills to bolster the other Heroes' talents, with slight manic pixie dream girl undertones.

With Creation, Momo can transform her own fat cells into any inorganic material or object, so long as she understands its molecular structure first. Finding one of Yaoyorozu's Lucky Bags on the battlefield is always a blessing, as it is guaranteed to contain several items of useful equipment to potentially tip the confrontation in their favor.

3 Kinoko Komori's Malicious Mushrooms

My Hero Academia Heroes Who Would Make Perfect Villains Kinoko Komori Class B

One of the cutest kids in Class B is actually a lethal killer in disguise with a deceptively innocent Quirk that causes a variety of toadstools to suddenly pop up everywhere. Growing from any viable surface imaginable (yes, even body parts), these mushrooms first appear to be nothing more than a nuisance; however, Kinoko has a trick up her sleeve that not many can counter.

By specifically summoning Schizophyllum fungi, Kinoko can completely incapacitate her victim with Splitgill Lung Strike, watching on from a safe distance while they choke and suffocate on the spores. Her debilitating mushroom fields can last for up to three hours and can immobilize large groups with ease, who will require medical attention in the aftermath.

2 Crust's Sturdy Shield

My Hero Academia Shield Hero Crust

This defensive Quirk allows Crust to summon strong barriers that emerge from any point of his body, formed from interlocking stone-like hexagons. Much like Captain America, The No. 6 Pro-Hero can hurl his shields into the distance, the edges of which are sharp enough to slice through a High-End Nomu as if it were made of butter.

This Shield Hero skillfully manipulates his barricades into unconventional weapons that he proceeds to stab the enemy with, creating a bizarre pin-cushion of sorts from his foe. Crust singlehandedly keeps a High-End Nomu at bay while waiting for backup to arrive by plowing the beast with numerous shields-turned-swords, the damage of which even its Super Regeneration struggles to combat.

1 Mei Hatsume's Magnificent Mind

My Hero Academia Best Support Heroes Mei Hatsume

Even though Mei's magnifying Quirk hasn't got the most versatility on the battlefield, it's her ingenuity and creative talents that Pro-Heroes will soon be fighting over. This Class H inventor's expertise is constructing specialized equipment to fulfill Heroes' precise needs, which often augments the user's Quirk for the best possible performance.

Mei can conceptualize and create one of her new "babies" within minutes and is not overly sentimental about her failures, merely using them as learning experiences. Her upbeat personality and enthusiasm are absolutely infectious; she is also a capable fighter, and her Zoom Quirk certainly has its uses, but leaving her to tinker with her trinkets is best!
