DeadToast Entertainment's trippy, side-scrolling shooter My Friend Pedro is officially coming to the PlayStation 4 on April 2, 2020. The game has already been made available on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC since releasing in June 2019, and has been included in various deals, including last December's Xbox Game Pass.

My Friend Pedro on PlayStation 4 will include the "Code Yellow" update first released in October 2019 for the Switch and PC versions of the game, which includes "fourteen full-throttle game modifiers" and "much-requested features," like in-game speedrunning timers, according to DeadToast designer Victor Agren, who wrote a PlayStation Blog post on Friday. Devolver Digital, known for games like Enter the Gungeon and its sequel Exit the Gungeon, is attached as a publisher for the independent title.

When My Friend Pedro released, it was a huge success for DeadToast, selling over 250,000 units in its first week. The game's high-octane, Matrix-inspired action and bizarre set dressing made it an intriguing release, one that PlayStation users should be happy to add to their library.

Despite the impending release of Sony's next-generation PlayStation 5, the PlayStation 4 is continuing to receive a bevy of great games across its last official year as a leading console, including upcoming titles like The Last of Us Part 2.

My Friend Pedro is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One. It will be available on PlayStation 4 starting April 2, 2020.
