10 Breath Of The Wild

Without a shadow of a doubt, Breath of the Wild is one of the best games of all time, and it's easy to see why. Stunning visuals, incredible world design, hundreds of hours of content, Prince Sidon, this game has it all. 9 Super Mario Odyssey

While collecting moons might not be as gratifying as collecting stars in 64, Odyssey still offers just about everything you could ever want out of a 3D Mario style. Large, explorable worlds, objectives and secrets hidden everywhere, beautiful music accompanying you on your journey and so much more come with Odyssey. With fantastically fun movement and the ability to put Mario in both a Waluigi hat and a wedding dress at the same time, Super Mario Odyssey is one treasure of a Switch title.

8 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Giving Richter Belmont a lil bitey from a Pirhanna Plant is just so rewarding. And you can do all that and so much more in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A game that is bursting at the seams with both single-player and multi-player content, Ultimate might just be the best Smash title ever released. Whether you're treking through World of Light by yourself, trying to score a 9.9 on classic with a friend, or simply just Smashing to your heart's content, there's so much to do in this game that you simply have to own it.

7 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe took everything the original title did and made it that much better. With new characters, a revised item system and a completely overhauled Battle Mode with new maps and game modes, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the top-selling Switch game of all time for a reason, Look, if a six-year-old game managed to sell 15 million copies (as of this writing) as a simple rerelease, maybe check it out? While Super Mario Bros U Deluxe was rereleased on the Switch, Super Mario Maker 2 is the most jam-packed 2D Mario title on the system as of now. There are over 100 Nintendo made levels in Maker 2 to play through, which is worth the $60 price tag already. However, beyond that, there is a massive suite of creator tools and user-created levels to mess around with. 4 Splatoon 2

Splatoween 2 Halloween event

Game idea, Call of Duty but you're a squid and now you're a kid. That's Splatoon! Splatoon 2 for the Switch is a third-person shooter that has squidy-little children pitted against each other as they fight for supremacy. While there is a fantastic co-op survival mode and a story mode to play through, the main attraction is the team-based mode in which you attempt to cover the map with as much ink as possible, with the winning side's color taking over most of the map. If you're looking for a great shooter on the Switch that isn't Wolfenstein, try out Splatoon 2.

3 Super Mario Party

Super-Mario-Party-Ball-Pass

Super Mario Party is the return to form for the Mario Party series that we've been craving for years. While it might not have the most content in series history, Super Mario Party features the same fun that all of the Party games deliver. Board games, minigames and unnecessary side content, the whole nine yards. While it could use a DLC drop of a few more boards, overall Super Mario Party is totally worth the money and is a great game to play with family and friends alike.

2 Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Rabbid Peach is that girl and Mario + Rabbid Kingdom Battle is the biggest slapper there is. The X-Com like game features Mario and Rabbids for some reason teaming up to take down other Rabbids. There's no real reason that any of it is happening, something about a washing machine or something, but you're not there for the plot. With an awesome combat system and a great selection of characters that all stand out from one another, there are plenty of ways to take on every level, which makes this game a blast to complete.

1 Celeste

The indie darling that earned 10/10 scores around the board, Celeste is an essential game to own for the Switch. An incredibly difficult platformer that lets you scale the difficulty to your liking, the title's beautifully crafted levels and story are paired with an out of this world visual style that makes for a truly remarkable game. Along with that, the game doesn't carry the $60 price tag that the rest of the titles on this list do, meaning that it is a much cheaper game to get into. If you have a Switch, you need Celeste.
