Those looking for some Super Smash Bros. or Brawlhalla-like action will definitely want to check out MultiVersus, a multiplayer fighting bash from developer Player First Games in conjunction with Warner Bros. and DC. It's shaping up to be a pretty engrossing ride for fans of films and animation thanks to the breadth of characters that developers will have access to under the Warner Bros. umbrella.
Player First Games has been hard at work fine-tuning the fighting game according to player feedback through a series of Closed Alpha and Beta tests. As of the time of writing, July 19th, 2022, the team behind the title has opened the experience up to the public for the first Open Beta to really put their servers through the wringer. But gaining Beta Access isn't as simple as downloading the game on a platform of choice. Would-be players will need to take some extra steps if they want to get in on the zany action. Although players will be able to join in the official Open Beta on July 26th, they can gain access early by following the guide below. Here's how to gain access to the MultiVersus Open Beta.
Gaining Access Via Twitch Drops
Those that want to jump into MultiVersus early can grab their own access via Twitch Drops by checking out any MultiVersus-linked Streamer with drops enabled between July 19th (9 AM PST) to July 26 (9 AM PST). Players will need to watch any appropriate Twitch channel for approximately 60 minutes to unlock the access. It's also important to note that once players begin to watch a channel dedicated to the Twitch Drop, they will need to continue to watch that channel until access unlocks.
Once players receive the drop, they can then connect their Twitch account to their MultiVersus account to gain their code. Although players can link their accounts afterward, some are reporting that it's a better idea to have the Twitch account tied to their Warner Bros. MultiVersus account before beginning to watch a Twitch streamer for the appropriate drop. Linking accounts is easy and players will actually be able to do so by clicking the Link Account button located in Step 1 of the instructions found on the Twitch Drops page on the MultiVersus website.
Once players have received the drop from Twitch, they can return to the MultiVersus website where they will be prompted that they have received a code and can click their platform of choice to have an access code generated. If players do not see their code they should click on Link Accounts in Step 1 again, which will sometimes cause it to click over and reward the code. Once that's done, players are free to download the beta and hop into the action!
Those that do not wish to get a code via Twitch Drops can also access one by purchasing one of the Founder's Packs located on the MultiVersus website. The packs come in different price tiers and contain bonus in-game items, as well as Early Beta Access.
