A lot of gamers are currently enjoying MultiVersus. The platform fighter combines just enough wacky characters and combat with a competitive edge that keeps players coming back. However, as more people join the MultiVersus open beta, gamers are discovering certain characters that appear to be stronger than others. Even in the game's closed alpha phase, people were having problems with Taz's tornado move. Now, two characters have been outlined by a lot of players as needing serious changes. At the moment, the two most frustrating characters for a lot of MultiVersus players are Finn and Bugs Bunny. Bugs Bunny was the first to be marked by the internet's fury, as his moves were almost instantly recognized as being largely overpowered. The hate for Adventure Time's Finn came later, as players began to realize how large his hitboxes were and how moves like his backpack swing took priority over a lot of other characters' attacks. Many have been demanding changes to Bugs Bunny and Finn over the few weeks since the MultiVersus beta launched. Now, Game Director Tony Huynh has gone into more detail about when these changes can be expected.RELATED: MultiVersus is Nerfing Bugs BunnyThe topic of nerfs in MultiVersus came up after Huynh tweeted about an online-only update that fixed certain bugs around the moves of Tom and Jerry and Jake the Dog. One fan followed Huynh's tweet by asking when a nerf for Finn will be on the way. Hyunh responded that the team working on MultiVersus is planning to tweak Finn, but that these changes will come in phases, as Player First Games is taking a wider look at the hitbox and hurtbox systems in the game as a whole.

While this may mean that players could suffer Finn's backpack attack for a while longer, it is likely that MultiVersus will have tighter gameplay as a whole following these major changes. For those worried that the reigns of Bugs and Finn will continue for a while longer, it has previously been stated that nerfs for those MultiVersus characters will come following the 2022 EVO tournament.

It is possible that these hitbox and hurtbox changes could come with the delayed launch of MultiVersus Season 1. The game's first proper battle pass was expected to launch alongside Morty as a playable character on August 9, but has been delayed with no reason or new release date given to fans. This could be because Player First Games wanted to fix the problems players are currently discussing around the MultiVersus meta.

MultiVersus is available in open beta on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
