MultiVersus is Warner Bros. answer to Nintendo's Super Smash Brothers series, in that it pits a series of iconic characters from different pop-culture properties against each other in a fighting game, with the objective of knocking opponents out of the fighting arena. MultiVersus is currently in an open beta with many characters from Batman to Bugs Bunny already available and more characters yet to be announced.

Unsurprisingly, the online community for MultiVersus has run away with itself in thinking up possible characters which could be introduced into the game. What began with reasonable predictions like more DC superheroes, has quickly turned into incredibly detailed character move sets for the most out of place pop-culture characters for a fighting game.

One such example of this comes from a Reddit user named At_Witts_End, who has created an intricate character move set for Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. While Saul Goodman may not have even been the most unlikely character on the MultiVersus roster, which already includes the likes of LeBron James, Saul is not a character that features in a Warner Bros. property as both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are distributed by Sony Television.

The impossibility of this character’s appearance in MultiVersus is honestly a shame because At_Witts_End’s suggested character move set does make Saul Goodman seem like he would be a fun character to play as. It also wouldn’t be the first out of place lawyer to be playable in a fighting game, as Marvel Vs Capcom 3 famously included Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series who fought by submitting evidence and objecting to his opponents' attacks. These moves may have inspired the Reddit user’s Saul Goodman move set, only with a more criminal twist.

Fans of the Super Smash Brothers series have spent years imagining different video game characters and how they could be implemented into the game. But with Nintendo’s unwillingness to include any characters from outside the realm of video games, fans hadn’t dared to seriously consider outlandish characters from television and film ever being included. MultiVersus fans are thinking differently, however, and seeing a character from Game of Thrones fight characters from Scooby-Doo has meant that all bets are off for what kinds of Warner Bros. properties could be included in MultiVersus in the future.

The template used for designing Saul Goodman’s proposed character move set was created by another Reddit user named NosyBoyYT, and this template is now being used to create many more possible characters for MultiVersus’ character roster. Some of these suggestions could work well such as including characters from the Harry Potter series, the films of which are published by Warner Bros. Others are less likely, however, like the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.

MultiVersus is in open beta on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
