MultiVersus has been making a name for itself in the platform fighting world with its easy to pick up gameplay and wild roster of characters, which could one day include the Doom Patrol. Warner Bros. has pulled out all the stops and delivered a giant crossover that will only get bigger as time goes on. Characters such as Arya Stark from Game of Thrones and Bugs Bunny from The Looney Tunes can go head-to-head against the likes of Gizmo from Gremlins and Batman from DC Comics. Player First Games and Warner Bros. seem committed to making MultiVersus the best that it can be with the craziest roster around, and platform fighting fans are excited for what the future will hold.

MultiVersus is particularly rich with DC Comics characters. Currently, some of the most popular heroes from the comics are playable in the game, with characters like Black Adam coming in the near future. While players love getting their hands on Superman and Batman, there are also some lesser known heroes that could be great additions. Specifically, the members of Doom Patrol would fit right into the game. Each of them are unique and play host to some wild powers, and adding them to MultiVersus would be a great way to advertise the upcoming fourth season of the HBO Max Original Doom Patrol.

Who Exactly Are The Doom Patrol?

The Doom Patrol is a group of dysfunctional heroes that are all bound by trauma. They are all unique and have become more popular since the debut of Doom Patrol in 2019. This collection of super-powered people do their best to survive in a world that does not like them very much, and they try their hardest to do the right thing even if it sometimes causes more harm than good. Viewers have grown to love the team over the years, and they cannot wait to see what adventures are in store in season four.

Just like most superhero teams, Doom Patrol has had a rotating cast of characters over the years. In the show, the team is primarily composed of five different heroes brought together by a doctor known as the Chief. The team includes Kay Challis whose multiple personalities such as Jane all have distinct superpowers, an actress named Rita Farr who can change her body shape at will, a US Air Force pilot named Larry Trainor who has an entity of energy living inside him, a former NASCAR driver turned cyborg Cliff Steele, and the infamous member of the Justice League Victor Stone who is better known as Cyborg.

The Doom Patrol Would Work Well in MultiVersus

Each member of Doom Patrol has a unique powerset that could translate very well to MultiVersus. Players could toss their foes around the map as Cyborg, constantly switch power types as Jane, or stretch across the map as Rita Farr. Almost every single one of the characters would fit into the five classes.

While it would take some work, each character has a place in the current classes of MultiVersus. Cliff Steele would be the easiest to place as he could either fit Bruiser or Tank since he spends much of the show punching his way through danger. Larry Trainor may fit well in the Support class as he is often supporting the team from the side, and Cyborg could work as a Mage or Assassin as he uses various tools to get the job done. Rita Farr and Jane would be harder to fit, but they may be able to work as Mages or Assassins, and a case could also be made for Rita to go in the Support class as she could use her stretchy abilities to protect her allies.

Whatever role the team takes in MultiVersus, they could each be a lot of fun to play thanks to their different powers. They would fit right into the wild roster, significantly expand DC Comics presence in the game, and give attention to lesser known characters. It wouldalso be a great way to advertise the upcoming fourth season of the show. There's no release date for this season just yet, so Player First Games still has time to prepare some Doom Patrol representation.

MultiVersus is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
