Nintendo has found incredible success with its crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and so it's no surprise that other companies have attempted to follow suit. Sony took a swing at the idea back in the day with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and more recently, there was the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl fighting game. Now Warner Bros. is getting in on the action with the ambitious MultiVersus, which consists of one of the wildest rosters yet.

The MultiVersus roster features a wide range of characters from Warner Bros. franchises that are either outright owned or licensed by the company. This ranges from characters like Arya Stark from Game of Thrones to cartoon icon Bugs Bunny and even DC comics superheroes like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. There's even an original character invented for MultiVersus in the form of Reindog, so fans have a lot of variety to look forward to.

When Warner Bros. officially revealed the MultiVersus roster and announced the game, it confirmed many leaks about the project. In fact, leaks predicted nearly every single character that was confirmed for the MultiVersus roster, though those same leaks made some claims about characters who ultimately aren't part of the lineup. It's possible these other leaked MultiVersus characters will be revealed for the game later or are being planned as post-launch additions, so fans will have to wait and see on that front.

In the meantime, here are the leaked MultiVersus characters who have yet to be officially announced for the game.

MultiVersus Leaked Characters

Sad Rick and Morty season five finale
  • Gandalf
  • Harry Potter
  • Rick and Morty
  • Ron Weasley

There are four characters mentioned in the pre-reveal MultiVersus leaks that have not been confirmed for the fighting game yet. These are Gandalf of Lord of the Rings fame, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley from the Wizarding World universe, and Rick and Morty from the popular adult cartoon of the same name.

Out of these, Gandalf seems like the most likely to make it to the MultiVersus roster at some point, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Rick and Morty make the cut either. After all, Rick and Morty is one of the most popular adult animated shows on TV right now, and the characters would no doubt make popular additions to the roster. Not only that, but Rick and Morty have already made crossover video game appearances, with Rick popping up in Epic Games' Fortnite Battle Royale.

If Rick and Morty do come to MultiVersus, one has to wonder if they will be separate characters or a tag team. Most of the MultiVersus characters have their own individual spots on the roster, but Tom and Jerry take up a single slot together. It's possible Rick and Morty will be similar, but the characters are distinct enough that Warner Bros. may want to have them stand on their own. That's assuming they even come to MultiVersus at all, of course.

Harry Potter Rupert Grint Ron Weasley Almost Quit

The two leaked MultiVersus characters that stand the least amount of chance of being added to the roster have to be Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. After all, the person who initially leaked the MultiVersus roster said that it was possible that their source was just joking about Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. However, that doesn't mean that Warner Bros. wouldn't want to secure the characters for the MultiVersus roster if it had the capabilities to do so.

Harry Potter is one of the most popular fictional characters ever conceived, and his addition to the MultiVersus roster would be huge. It would potentially draw in Wizarding World fans who wouldn't have bothered with MultiVersus otherwise. Fans shouldn't hold their breath for Harry Potter or any other Wizarding World characters to make their way to MultiVersus, but it's still a possibility since Warner Bros. has the license to make video games based on the Harry Potter franchise.

Like with any leaks, fans should take all of this with a grain of salt. It's possible that none of these leaked characters will ever actually make it to the MultiVersus roster, so the only ones that fans can count on are the characters that are confirmed by Warner Bros.

As it stands, there's a decent variety of characters that have already been revealed by Warner Bros. It's possible that this lineup constitutes the MultiVersus launch roster, but it's also possible that there are more character reveals set to take place between now and when the game comes out in 2022. All anyone looking forward to MultiVersus can do for the time being is speculate about what future roster additions may have in store.

Hopefully Warner Bros. has more to share about the game sooner rather than later so fans can find out if there's any truth to the leaked MultiVersus characters.

MultiVersus launches in 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
