The creators of Pinball FX 2, Zen Studios, have been on quite a roll lately. They released a brand new Captain America table just in time for the 4th of July long weekend, which fans of both Marvel and pinball tables have since fallen in love with. If Marvel-themed tables weren't action-packed enough for some of the pinball haters out there, then gamers will be happy to learn that Zen Studios next table is a little more 'splosive.

In an official press release today, Zen Studios announced a very cool partnership with Twisted Pixel that will see a brand new table for Pinball FX 2 based off of the upcoming Ms. 'Splosion Man. Not many details were released regarding when the new table would be coming, but they did confirm that there would be several familiar faces appearing on the new table. Other than the fact that the Ms. 'Splosion Man table is coming however, not much else is known about what the evil geniuses at Zen Studios have in mind for the final product.

For those who are wondering, Twisted Pixel's CEO Michael Wilford assured fans and the media that this partnership would work both ways.

"In Ms. Splosion Man there is an arcade room in the world map where players can find a virtual Pinball FX2 table where you can dive right into the hot XBLA pinball action directly.”

The announcement may seem somewhat random, but after thinking about it for a minute, it makes perfect sense. Both companies are independent developers and each have their own sets of loyal followers. Cross-promoting the two games will only result in more sales for both sides. So, from a business aspect it makes perfect sense. Of course, they could have just overlooked all the boring profit mumbo-jumbo and thought that explosions would look bad-ass on a pinball table, which is sound logic that everyone can get behind.

Ms. 'Splosion Man is set to release on Xbox Live Arcade on July 13th for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), and it's easy to assume that the Pinball FX 2 table will be available for a small fee shortly afterwards.
