Ms. Marvel is just one of the many Marvel Studios shows slated to hit Disney Plus in the coming year. However, it will not be coming to the Disney Plus streaming platform until late next year, much to the surprise of fans.

The Ms. Marvel series cast Iman Vellani as the lead role of Kamala Khan. The character has the ability to stretch and change her physical body into any shape she wants at will. This includes stretching her hand to the size of a human in order to swipe away at people.

The upcoming Ms. Marvel series will introduce the titular heroine to the MCU before she joins the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel film titled The Marvels. Lately, the release window for the series has been teased, but no concrete information on the matter has been divulged until now. CFO Christine McCarthy revealed during a Disney's Investor Call meeting that Ms. Marvel won't debut until the fourth quarter of next year. Fans expecting to see Kamala Khan sooner were sorely disappointed, but this gives the team more time to complete the special effects and prepare for the promotion of the show.

In the comics, Khan is also one of the Young Avengers, a team of superheroes that is rumored to be getting their own MCU project down the road. The Young Avengers are Marvel's answer to DC's Teen Titans. Per the source material, the Young Avengers are adolescent heroes who are all the younger versions of older heroes. Marvel Studios' Disney Plus series have all been introducing characters who were a part of this team in comic book lore.

Most Marvel projects require a lot of special effects, and Ms. Marvel will be no different. Those who have played the Avengers video game are familiar with the important role Ms. Marvel's powers play in the team. It will be really cool to see how they implement these special abilities in a live-action series.

Right now fans have Eternals to hold them over before Spider-Man hits theaters next month. The rollout for phase four continues into the new year, but Ms. Marvel won't be kicking off 2022 as some had hoped. Hopefully, the time helps out and it's worth the wait. The talent attached to it seems like they're happy to be a part of the show and everything looks promising.

Ms. Marvel is expected to be released on Disney Plus in 2022.
