Players that want to increase the strength of their weapons in Mortal Shell are going to need to collect a fair amount of Quenching Acid. Fortunately, there are 11 of them to be found on the first playthrough of this challenging action RPG from Cold Symmetry, and even more become available in New Game+. For fans that may need a little help finding all of the Quenching Acid in Mortal Shell, this guide details the locations that they should visit.

To note, each weapon in Mortal Shell can be upgraded a total of five times during a first playthrough, and that increases to ten times in New Game+. As such, fans should be somewhat judicious with how they use their Quenching Acid, as it is certainly not be possible to fully upgrade every weapon in a single playthrough of Mortal Shell. With that established, here are the locations of all of the Quenching Acid in the game:

Mortal Shell: Where to Find Quenching Acid

  • Fallgrim Tower Shop: Vlas sells two Quenching Acid for 2,500 Tar each.
  • Fallgrim: On the way to the Temple Grounds players will come across a burning Grisha. Just before that enemy there is a small camp, which houses a chest containing a Quenching Acid.
  • Fallgrim: A Frog Chest on the path to Fallgrim Tower contains a Quenching Acid. The Mist must be active to access this item.
  • Shrine of Ash - Monument of Ash: A Quenching Acid can be found in an Iron Maiden just before the final room.
  • Shrine of Ash - Monument of Ash: A Quenching Acid can be found in an Iron Maiden just before the room with the fire demons.
  • Crypt of Martyrs - Abandoned Chamber: Fans will find a chest with a Quenching Acid on a path before the Enslaved Grisha.
  • Crypt of Martyrs - Enshrined Sanctum: On the way down to the final room players will see a hole in the left wall. Through this hole are several enemies and a chest with a Quenching Acid.
  • Seat of Infinity - Eternal Narthyx: There is a Quenching Acid in a chest located near to the torch guarded by an enemy with a crossbow.
  • Seat of Infinity - Dim Gate: Take the elevator to the top of the tower and then enter the teleporter. Now head down the ramp and then use the platforms to reach a teleporter even further below, which leads to a Quenching Acid.
  • Seat of Infinity - Dim Gate: Players will find a Quenching Acid below the ramp that leads to the Shifting Archives.
  • New Game+: Sester Genessa sells eight Quenching Acid for 10 Glimpse each.
