To nobody's surprise, Mortal Kombat X is a wild success. Against all odds, the highly anticipated fighting game lived up to its massive hype, and was crowned the best-selling game of April. Not only that, but it continues to sell extremely well.

Before release, NetherRealm and WB Games anticipated Mortal Kombat X's success, and the two companies planned an extensive post-launch campaign for the title. The first DLC add-on for the game, the Horror Pack, features Friday the 13th movie icon Jason Voorhees, as well as horror-themed skins for some characters on the playable roster. That leaves three (currently announced) DLC packs left; the next one is reportedly the first of two Klassic Packs, which bring old Mortal Kombat characters and retro-themed skins to the game.

New characters headline each of the new DLC packs. The Horror Pack had Jason Voorhees, and future packs will include Predator (from the film series of the same name) and series vet Tremor. However, the first Kombat Pack features a fan favorite, Tanya, a villanous ninja who debuted in Mortal Kombat 4.

We still don't know when Tanya and the first Klassic Pack will be available, but it's probably coming soon. Just recently, Tanya's fatalities and brutalities leaked on Imgur, and now her character select screen animation has been posted online. Check it out:

Klassic Pack #1 can be purchased by itself, but players who plan on getting all ofMortal Kombat X's DLC may want to invest in the Kombat Pack. The Kombat Pack functions as Mortal Kombat X's "season pass," and offers players a slight discount compared to purchasing all of the DLC separately. If the Horror Pack is any indication, there is another advantage, too: Kombat Pack owners receive DLC one week before everyone else, giving them extra time to test drive new characters.

If players are unsure whether or not they want to lay out the cash for Tanya, they'll actually get a chance to demo her at some point in the future. This weekend, players can test out DLC character Jason Voorhees in the Living Towers. Future DLC characters will receive similar treatment.

Besides Tanya, the Klassic Pack also includes new skins for Kano, Liu Kang, and Sonya Blade.

New Mortal Kombat X skins also arrive for free each time the game is updated. NetherRealm began this tradition by releasing a classic skin for Sub-Zero with the game's first patch; more recently, Reptile received the classic skin treatment.

Mortal Kombat X is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The release date for the first Klassic Pack, headlined by Tanya.
