Let's face it; every one of the contestants in the Mortal Kombat tournament is a serial killer. What's worse than one serial killer? Two of them teaming up to deal out double the amount of death.

In this latest Mortal Kombat gameplay trailer we get to see exactly that. In this match, mortal enemies Sub-Zero and Scorpion, team up to take down the robotic duo of Cyrax and Sektor. Yes, that is correct - you get to watch ninjas and robots fight to the death!

As you can see, besides the ability to swap out characters, nothing new is shown that we haven't seen in a previous video before.  While we do get to see Sub-Zero finish off Cyrax with an X-ray special move, he cheaps out with a standard uppercut once it's "Finish Him" time. It would have been much better if the video finished out with "Double Fatality" as a cherry on top of the tag-team pie.

With the exception of Street Fighter, tag-team game play is starting to become the standard in fighters nowadays and is especially evident in Marvel vs. Capcom. Obviously this is added to give the game more longevity and variety.

Once seeing this, the question that comes to mind is: with this kind of tag-team, will one player control two characters? or will two human players be able to take on the computer? Or both? Having a friend alongside you in arcade mode does make a difference. I would love to see how God of War's Kratos fights alongside the Mortal Kombat franchise characters.

Are you guys excited to see tag-team game play incorporated into Mortal Kombat?
