Mortal Kombat movie star Lewis Tan shared a very bloody photo on Twitter. Along with the photo, he shared this statement: "Only the finale left on this vigorous yet edifying journey, I’ll wear the battle wounds (some fake some real) with pride. I am beyond excited to share this film with you all."

The Mortal Kombat movie is due to be released in March of 2021, and the actors and director (Simon McQuoid) have been letting little bits of information drop as they continue filming. Tan appears to be a main character in the film. This was not the first time Tan has revealed some information on social media, and many fans hope it won't be the last.

In this tweet, Tan shows off his bloody face. Although he doesn't leak which Mortal Kombat character he'll be playing, he has been talking up the finale a lot on social media. Here's the photo:

Mortal Kombat Movie Finale Teased With Bloody Photo Tan

On the 21st, Tan tweeted that the he had "Just learned the choreography for the finale... it is a beast on a whole diff level, and I’ve been doing this a very long time. Mind. Blown." Fans were blown away by these little hints as well as the Liu Kang training video that was shown recently too.

Given his background as a fighting actor, his excitement about the finale's fight scene has a lot of fans excited for what's to come in the movie. Between these tweets along with some news of amazing characters and actors being added to the film, like Elissa Cadwell as Nitara, The Vampire, there's a lot of hype surrounding this movie, even with it so far in the future.

However, fans may want to keep their expectations in check. Even with amazing talent and big budgets, video game movies don't have a very good reputation for a good reason. It's isn't often that fans of any video game series get the kind of movies that their favorite series deserves, but hopefully the Mortal Kombat movie lives up to the hype and proves detractors wrong.

The Mortal Kombat movie will be coming to theaters March 5, 2021.
